Chapter 1: Pleased to Meet You

//STORY START//

One of your philosophers said, "It is not to be thought that the life of darkness is sunk in misery and lost in sorrow. There is no sorrow. For sorrow is a thing that is swallowed up in death, and death and dying are the very life of the darkness." He was a shoemaker. He was right, and it matters more than anything.

According to him, the visible world is a manifestation of eternal light and eternal darkness, and it is in eternal opposition that eternity has revealed itself. The fall was necessary for creation to escape its first imperfect stasis and seek a truer form. Heresy? Well, then, I am the heresiarch. The philosopher died of a bowel disease. Those who do not exist cannot suffer and are of no account to any viable ethics. If the true path to goodness is the elimination of suffering, then only those who must exist can be allowed to exist. It is the nature of life to favor existence over nonexistence, and to prefer the fertile soil to the poisoned wind. Because those who open their mouths to that wind pass from the world and leave no descendant, whether of flesh or of thought.

But imagine the abomination of a world where nothing can end and no choice can be preferred to any other. Imagine the things that would suffer and never die. Imagine the lies that would flourish without context or corrective. Imagine a world without me.

The Witness never thought about the opportunity of expanding his influence in another universe, but when Upended tore an hole in space time when moving a black hole he couldn't let this opportunity escape him.

A virgin universe without his enemy, the traveler, a place where he could gain more disciples and in time establish a new reality and discover how to destroy the light once and for all.

His first disciple, Rhulk would be his harbinger in this new reality, he would gain a new disciple, and with his guidance the two of them would eventually conquer the new universe.

Izuku Midoriya was angry, that day his "best friend" told him to kill himself, he was nearly killed when a villain attacked him, and All Might, the number one hero, his idol told him that his dream was impossible to realize, he was shattered, his will to live, his pride, his perseverance, all broken, fractured, like glass when hit with a sledgehammer.

"Maybe Katsuki was right" he thought

"Maybe in my next life i'll be born with a quirk" he thought

"Maybe in my next life I'll become the next All Might" those words echoing in his fractured mind.

Izuku was about to go search for a nice place where he could end his torment when a sense of cold pervaded his body.

— - You seek power - — a voice, that he never heard before whispered in his mind

— - You want to show those that didn't believe in you that they are wrong - —

— - You want to save the innocents from evil - — the voice continued to speak in his mind

— - We have heard your cries for help, and soon we will answer - — stated the voice

"What are you, some kind of villain? Show yourself " said the shocked boy

— - We are not your friend - — , the boy was taken by fear as he heard the voice in his mind

— - We are not your enemy - —

— - We are your, Salvation - — as he heard those words a triangle shaped portal appeared in front of him.

— - Come Izuku Midorya, fulfill your destiny, Join Rhulk in the deep, rise from it, embrace the power, destroy your enemy and become the First Disciple of this new reality - —

After hearing those words the teen knew what he had to do, he would become a disciple and he would teach this corrupted world a lesson, he would drown in the deep and rise from it, and eventually he would become the final shape.

As Izuku passed the portal he found himself in a room, suspended in mid air where he could see an entire city beneath (Rhulk boss room from vow of the disciple raid).

He turned his head and saw an imposing red figure, three eyes on each side of his head for a total of 6, the figure had a strange weapon hovering at his side.

As Izuku was too scared to react, the figure spoke "Pleased to meet you Izuku Midorya, I am Rhulk, first disciple of the Witness, Lubrae's Ruin, i have been given the duty of training you and helping you become the first disciple of this reality by the Witness himself, tell me Izuku Midorya, are you ready?".

"Yes," spoke the boy.

And like that a disciple was born.

AN: Thank you for reading the first chapter of Shattered Suns, this idea came to me while i was playing Destiny 2, in particular the vow of the disciple raid.

I don't intend on regularly updating this story and it could easily be left as a one shot but eventually in the future it might receive updates.

Now i'm focusing myself on the new arc for my other mha story Heroes. Legends. Immortal.
