Chapter 3: Salvation

Once upon a time,* a gardener and a winnower lived** together in a garden.***

* It was once before a time, because time had not yet begun.

** We did not live. We existed as principles of ontological dynamics that emerged from mathematical structures, as bodiless and inevitable as the primes.

*** It was the field of possibility that prefigured existence.

They existed, because they had to exist. They had no antecedent and no constituents, and there is no instrument of causality by which they could be portioned into components and assigned to some schematic of their origin. If you followed the umbilical of history in search of some ultimate atavistic embryo that became them, you would end your journey marooned here in this garden.

In the morning, the gardener pushed seeds down into the wet loam of the garden to see what they would become.

In the evening, the winnower reaped the day's crop and separated what would flourish from what had failed.

The day was longer than all of time, and the night was swifter than a glint of light on a falling sugar crystal. Insects buzzed between the flowers, and worms slithered between the roots, feeding on what was and what might be, the first gradient in existence, the first dynamo of life. Rain fell from no sky. Voices spoke without mouth or meaning. A tree of silver wings bloomed yielded fruit shed feathers bloomed again.

In the day between the morning and the evening, the gardener and the winnower played a game of possibilities.

-unveiling entry 2

The night was colder than usual, the city was asleep, but one student in UA high couldn't fall asleep, that student was Katsuki Bakugou.

He started to hear things three days ago while going to the school canteen to have lunch with his classmates, since that day the whispers became voices, then they became more, the voice was talking to him, and on this very night they told him that something would have happened.

As the young hero in training rose from his bed and looked outside the window of his room a loud noise echoed through the city, for a moment everything turned black.

Then he saw it, a black pyramid was covering the horizon, its presence felt oppressive, like something was observing him, his instincts then told him to go outside to get a better look at the strange building that appeared so suddenly.

outside his dorm were some of his classmates and their homeroom teacher, pro hero Ereaser Head, to his students professor Aizawa.

Bakugo could also spot among the crowd students from other dorms and another one of his teachers, All Might, the symbol of peace.

"All right everyone go back inside your dorms, this is our business now" said professor Aizawa.

While the shocked students went back to their dorms, Bakugo was stopped by the voice, this time it was more clear, "violence, beauty, truth, these things await inside, come closer, the pyramid is waiting, there is no turning back now".

Bakugo tried to get back inside but he was frozen in place, his body refusing to move.

Then he looked at his teachers, their gaze locked onto the object that obscured the horizon.

Then Aizawa spoke again: "hey All Might, did you hear that", asked the teacher with a trembling voice, " yes Eraser, i did, what... what should we do" asked the symbol of peace with a perplexed and somewhat frightened tone.

Their conversation was Interrupted by Bakugou, "you heard it, didn't you, the voice"

Then, the voice spoke again "come, do not be afraid, just, a little further", as soon as the voice finished talking the bodies of the three started to move on their own, and as they moved closer to the horizon, they disappeared.

The three of them found themselves inside a dark tunnel, it had a rhomboid shape with a light at the end, the voice spoke again "welcome, we have been waiting, please, proceed forward".

As the two heroes and their student moved through the tunnel no words were spoken, the atmosphere around them was dense and oppressive, as they reached the light at the end they ended up inside an hallway, the tunnel that they came from now replaced with a dark substance, the walls were of an angled shape, forming a triangle meeting in a single point, along the walls were what looked like statues, strange figures of an amber color, at the end of the hallway was a big room seemingly open, at the center was what looked like a white sphere, and behind it the same substance that closed the tunnel.

Suddenly the voice spoke "in light there is only weakness" as it spoke their bodies were put under pressure "only failure" each of the three thought of their biggest failures, "only death" their minds, went back to the death of people close to them, in each of them rose the desire to fight back, to defy whatever or whoever was behind the voice, until it spoke again "you want to fight, you won't need to, we offer only truth" .

"no longer will you be a pawn, no longer will you watch the lives of those you care for be lost".

"remember, in darkness there is only strength, only victory, only life".

Then the black wall in front of them rose up like the courtaia during a theatrical play, there stood two figures, the first one was red in color, had an elongated head and was four times taller than the other, the second one wore a black armor with green accents and lights his head covered by an hood and an helmeth that was very much a human skull emanating darkness.

The two figures stared at the three heroes, then Bakugou with all courage asked "who are you".

There was a short pause, then the smaller of the two spoke: "don't you recognize us?"

"we are not your friend" the smaller took his hood off

"we are not your enemy" said the smaller one while taking his helmet off

"we are your" said the now unmasked smaller of the two while watching Bakugou in the eyes

"salvation" as the dark figure pronounced those words, the three heroes found themselves back in their original location in front of 1A dorm building, Bakugou was still processing the events that had just unfolded before his eyes and the shock of seeing the face of one he long thought dead.

The three were then approached by the rest of the teachers and the principal himself, something evil was coming for them and the pyramid that blocked the horizon was a harbinger of their impending doom.
