Sometimes things don't go as planned, take my summer for example, I was
supposed to go to Jamaica with my mother. That didn't happen, my mother got two airplane tickets, one for me and one for her, but last minute my mother found a new boy toy and she took him instead of me. What a great mother she is, you would think that with being away ten months a year working at a dance company she would want to spend her free time with her child, not my mother, Missy Lanning does not do such a thing. When she's not at work half way around the world, she is scouting out talent and trying to get her business known worldwide. It's not like something like
this hasn't happened before, because it has on many occasions. Two years ago we were supposed to go spend a week in France with my ill grandmother, well my mother got out of that one by saying that she had work to do. My mother had a two week break when we were asked to go see grandma. Another time we were supposed to go down to Australia to go check out a collage for next year, but no my mother had other plans. When I called her from the airport asking where she was and when she was going to get here, she said that she was about to get plastic surgery. So when my mother cancelled the Jamaica trip, that was the last straw, I was beyond pissed off, so I decided to do something she hates. I went to hip-hop dance camp for the summer.
When I was there I met the boy of my dreams. He had these piercing green eyes that I would always get lost in. He had black and purple hair that he always wore in a fringe with a black beanie. He was pale with tattoos that travel up his arms and onto his chest. My favorite one was the black dragon that wove up from his bicep to below his shoulder blade. He would
always wear these tight black skinny jeans, a muscle tee that would show off his toned body, and a black leather jacket. His name was Ray, Ray Hudson James. Ray was someone that I could talk to at night when I was missing home, he would listen when I wanted to rant about what someone did that day or when my mother texted me something that pissed me off, Ray was there for me. It was like we knew each other for a long time, we had this amazing connection with each other. When we first met it was the first day I arrived at the camp. I was walking across a big field filled with green grass and flowers. As I was minding my own business, someone pushed me to the ground saying that he was saving me from being hit by a ball but there was no ball in sight. Throughout the summer we grew closer and closer, but all good things must come to an end. The last day before I left, Ray walked me to my car and gave me a box. Inside that box was a heart locket, once I put it on, Ray took pulled at a chain around his neck and under his shirt was a key, the key to my heart. Now four days later it's the night before the first day of twelfth grade, I have mixed emotions about starting school, I'm depressed that I will never get to see Ray again, but I'm also excited to see my friends, it's been over two months since I last saw them. Sure I've talked to them while I was at camp, but texting is never as good as seeing them in person. I bet Luke changed his style once again, at
the start of every school year Luke changes his style to something completely different. I won't be surprised if he dyed his dirty blonde hair to some extravagant hair colour. Or if he took his lip ring out and got snake bites instead, Luke had them once but didn't like them so he got rid of it and just stuck with a simple lip ring. One thing he never changes is how he acts, he stays his smart, lovable yet goofy self, and no one can change that. Luke and I have
been best friends since we were two, my mother moved here when her and my father split up. We moved in right beside the Charles family, they just so happen to have a son my age. Our families have always been really close, the Charles residence is basically my second home. Then last year Luke met his current boyfriend Ashton Oak, Ash as we call him is so adorable. Ashton has long wavy brown hair and adorable dimples. Luke and Ashton met at school when
Luke was assigned to be Ashton's tour guide since it was his first day at Longhorn Academy. Since that day they have been inseparable, they're relationship is the cutest thing ever. When Ashton came to Longhorn so did his twin brother Calum. I was assigned to show Calum around the school, Calum and I dated for a few months but then decided that it just wasn't right. Calum and I constantly poke fun at each other and bring up all the crap things we did in our relationship. It's kind of funny because now we help each other get a date, or well I help Calum, no one at Longhorn has caught my eye yet. I mean sure, I've had a few brief relationships but nothing to serious. That's our little pack, Calum, Ashton, Luke and I, Eve Lanning. I look over at the clock and see that it's half past one already, I should probably go to bed now so I'm not late to school tomorrow.
