Chapter XX

"Y/n, wake up." Someone said gently shaking her. "Hmm what is it? Hikari?" still half asleep, she gave Y/n an ointment and told her to put it on her cheeks and wrist, with teary eyes Kuina hugged her friend muttering apologies under her breath.

Y/n reassured her that she was fine and telling her that it's wasn't her fault. Kuina was finally convinced,

She told the female that Chishiya had plan another meeting for the three. But before heading to the location the meeting will be held.

They went to Ann's place,

Ann without question treated the female's swelling cheek. After putting a bandage she stare at the female expectedly,

Her eyebrows raise as if asking what had happened. "Niragi." Y/n answered avoiding eye contact.

"You should stay away from him, Kushida." She heave a sigh, "Niragi is a dangerous man." Y/n nodded, "I know."

Ann pinch Y/n's other cheek making the female cried in pain. "You know but you're still being stubborn by getting contact with him." She scolded.

"Ann, I told you to call me Y/n." She cried out, the short haired female sigh before answering a small fine.

Kuina sweat dropped at the two, she felt bad towards the h/c colored hair from getting scolded but in some ways she kinda needed it.

Once the lecture session was done they headed out to meet Chishiya,

Y/n saw the shade of the sky as she scrunch her face forming a grimace. "Did I just almost slept the whole day? And you didn't wake me up?" She quizz her friend.

The brunette looked at her apologetic. "Sorry, Chishiya told me to not wake you up." She smiled understandingly. "It's fine, I'm going to grab some food first you can go head to Shuntarō." Y/n instructed before leaving the braided hair girl.

Y/n grab a bunch of food and went to meet up with Chishiya and Kuina. In Chishiya's room, stood Kuina holding her cigarette while the male was sitting on an arm chair.

They both stared at Y/n as she enter the room. "Want some?" She offered to her female friend in which Kuina happily accept.

"So? What do you want to talk about?" Y/n ask taking a seat on his bed. "Militants found two people roaming around the Beach and Hatter recruited them." He started. "We'll meet them by the pool tonight, meet me there." Chishiya finished grabbing a book to read. Once they were done talking the two girls went back to their perspective rooms and wait for night to come.

It takes a few hours before the sun had set and the moon to appear, Y/n went to Kuina's room so they can meet up with Chishiya at the pool.

The two female went out not wasting anymore time. There they spotted Chishiya by one of the pillars, he was leaning against it.

"He's here." He spoke after the two girls stood next to him. "Isn't that the guy from the tag game?" Y/n ask looking over to the new members of the beach. Taking a bite on her food.

"Yeah that's him." Chishiya replied. "I'm going to talk to them." Kuina state and in cue she left the two to approach the new members, Y/n hum in response.

At first the three were having a normal conversation until the militants came causing a scene.

"Let go of her!" The guy Chishiya was talking about yelled. According to Hatter his name was Arisu and the girl was Usagi. Chishiya was looking at the scene amused. "You're enjoying this too much." She sighed,

Y/n's gaze fell on a certain militant in disgust yet she smiled at him, the fakest smile she could ever muster.

Fucking pig.

Remembering the incident that had happened made her blood boil, the commotion soon stopped when Hatter entered the scene. "Is this a fight?" He questioned hearing Hatter's voice made everyone become silent. Niragi eyes filled with anger as he stare at Hatter.

Then his gaze lock into Y/n's, turning his frown upsidedown and licking his lips at her. Y/n showed him her middle finger mouthing the word fuck you somehow still smiling, Niragi then saw Chishiya besides the female so he turn his attention back to Hatter.

"Can't believe Aguni looks like a big asshole right now." Y/n was disappointed with Aguni but decided to not involved herself with them, "All executive members are to gather in the meeting room!" Hatter yelled before walking away making all the militants march ahead towards the meeting room tailing behind him. "Arisu, you're coming too." Hatter added.

"So what do you two think about him?" Chishiya ask, now that they're behind Kuina, "I like him." Kuina answered taking the cigarette off her mouth. "He's okay." Y/n simply answer,

"We better go." Chishiya state grabbing Y/n by the hand to drag her in the meeting room. She waved with her other hand at Kuina saying their goodbyes.

As they took a seat inside the meeting room, Chishiya saw Arisu and waved at him, the new recruit had a shock look on his face. "It's you two." he said referring to them, Y/n and Chishiya .

Y/n waved at the male with a smile on her face.

"Two of spades, six of spades, four of diamonds, two of clubs. We collected all four of them." Mira spoke, putting the cards in front of Hatter. "Until now, we still haven't found any face cards. If face cards doesn't exist then we're only left with Ten of hearts." Printed on Hatters face was dissatisfaction.

Y/n's was looking around not even giving a care to listen in their discussion, she felt someone staring at her, their gaze piercing through her skin. So she looked over at disgusting militant direction, they eyes clashed. She can see clearly the lust in his eyes.

This fucking pervert.

Y/n glared at the ravenette, clenching her fist. Before she could even think of lunging Niragi a hand was place on her thigh as if trying to calm her. Her gaze fell in disbelief as he look at Chishiya yet the male was pretending like he wasn't doing anything.

Y/n's eyes trail towards Hatter's when he mentioned her name. "As someone who cleared a heart game, do you have any advice for us Arisu? Y/n?" Hatter ask his hand pointing at the two.

He then laugh and turn to Mira. Y/n rolled her eyes at him, discreetly, "Just like Mira had said we could bring the people we don't mind dying so we can clear the game." She answered,

"But would a Heart game appear so conveniently? On top of that we don't know what type of game it is until registration closes." Ann spoke, "But we should be able to deduce it based on the probability theory." Kuzuryū added. Hatter slam his palm on the table looking at Kuzuryū "I don't need such pretentious investigation method."

He took the cards and stood up. "I'll join the next game, be it hearts or spades. Someone like me with one hundred percent winning rate will clear it easily! I'll join the games until the ten of hearts card appear."

"The day where we gather all cards and departed from this country is near. Executive members I'm counting on you guys to oversee things here. The meeting is adjourned." Hatter said finishing his speech.

They left the meeting room, Y/n not wanting to see Niragi anymore, "Shuntarō let me sleep in your room tonight." She requested sweetly, Chishiya only replied with a simple sure before entering the room.

Y/n had a gut feeling that Hatter's cockiness will lead him to nothing but danger.

I don't like this.
