Ashley Weasley was called down to the headmaster’s office, and so was Draco Malfoy, her best friend’s brother. Draco was rude, and Ashley was kind. He was a Slytherin, and she was the only student that didn’t have a house. Her personality is so much like all the houses that the hat was set on fire when she was trying to be sorted. She didn’t have robes, so she wore a white shirt sewn to a blue skirt to make a dress and a black shawl over it. Her beautiful four-feet long hair was straightened so it was now four and a half feet long. Her natural hair was red and curly. She has bleached her hair and then dyed the hair with different colors to make different colored streaks in her hair. Some were purple, some were blue, some were green, some were mint, some were pink, and some were just blonde. Many people said she looked like a unicorn threw up all over her head. But that's the look she was going for.
Ashley and Draco weren't that far off in height. Ashley was 5'2 and Malfoy was 5'11. They were really off for weight though. Ashley had a high metabolism. She could eat and eat and eat and eat but never gain any weight. She was 100 lbs. Draco, on the other hand, was a healthy 125 lbs for his age. They were both 6th years. Ashley had left her Herbology class, and Draco left his Divination class when they got called down to the Headmaster's office.
As always, Ashley got to the office first.
“You wanted to see me, sir?” Ashley smiled at the headmaster.
“Ah, yes. Would you like some tea or cookies?” Professor Dumbledore asked her
Ashley nodded and smiled. The tea was raspberry-mint tea, which was delicious. The cookies were the best chocolate chip cookies that Ashley had ever had.
The older Weasley daughter was adopted and she wasn't actually a Weasley. She was the daughter of a man named Niklaus Mikaelson and a woman named Hayley Marshall. She had a no-where-near-identical twin sister, Hope Mikaelson. Hope had dark brown hair and blue eyes, like their mom. Ashley's real name was Ashley Rebekah Mikaelson. Ashley and Hope all went to Hogwarts. Hope was a Slytherin. No one except the girls and their parents knew about who Ashley really was. Other than the teachers and Dumbledore.
The door opened and Draco walked in.
He leaned in the doorway. “Why am I here…with her?”
“Sit down, Mr. Malfoy” Severus Snape said.
Draco looked at his mentor with resentment and sat next to the girl.
“Now…Mr. Malfoy, you are aware that your grades aren't…the best, aren’t you?” Dumbledore asked him.
Draco nodded. The only class he had good grades in was potions.
“Your parents decided you should have a tutor to help you raise your grades,” Snape said.
“And…that’s why I’m here?” Ashley asked.
Dumbledore nodded. “Yes, Ms. Weasley. You have perfect grades in all of your classes”
Draco rolled his eyes. “Can I leave now?”
Dumbledore nodded. “You may leave too, Ms. Weasley”
Ashley got up and left the office as fast as possible to avoid Malfoy.
“Weasley, get back here,” Draco said.
Ashley stopped and turned around to look at him. “What, Malfoy?”
Draco chuckled. “Relax. I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the library or something to study”
Ashley rolled her eyes. “I'd rather go to the Room of Requirement. I’m the only person who knows it exists so there won’t be anyone there to judge me for being with you. Go get your books and I’ll meet you there”Ashley left and went to the Room of Requirement.
Since she didn’t have a dorm, she spent most of her time in the ROR. She turned it into a private dorm with a bed, a nightstand, a small closet, a vanity, a mini kitchen, and a little study area with a few bookshelves and potions that she’s made over the years.
Draco walked in and looked around. “Wow…so you actually live up here”
“Yeah…You remember what happened when I tried to be sorted, don’t you? I don't have a house, so I don’t have a dorm. So I’m up here most of the time…the only friends I have are my siblings' friends and your sister…” Ashley sighed, then shook her head to snap herself back into focus. “Pull out your books. What’s your worst grade? We’ll start with that first''
Draco scoffed. “Transfiguration…”
Ashley smirked. “That’s my best grade. This should be easy”
They practiced and practiced until he did every spell correctly.
“Great!” Ashley smiled. “You’re bound to get an A on our exam today”
Draco smiled. “Thanks, Weasley” he kissed her cheek and left to go to transfigurations.
Ashley looked a bit confused, but then smiled and went to Transfiguration.
After the class, Draco met Ashley at the ROR again.
“Ok, our next class is History of Magic. How’s your grade in that class?” Ashley asked.
“Horrible,” Draco said.
“Then we’d better get to work” Ashley smiled and she began quizzing him.
There were ten minutes left before the class started.
“Ok, if you get this question right, you’ll be ready for class. When was Hogwarts founded?” Ashley asked.
Draco didn’t even have to think about it. “It was founded in the 10th century by Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. Each of them created a house in their names and established one of the best schools in the wizarding world.”
Ashley smiled. “Perfect! I’ll see you in class” Ashley left and was shortly followed by Malfoy. It was time for lunch and Ashley made herself some raspberry-mint tea, a salad, and some mini blueberry muffins. She heard a knock on the door and she answered it.
“Malfoy? It’s lunchtime. You should be in the Great Hall. What are you doing here?”
Draco smiled. “I couldn’t let you eat by yourself. What kind of friend would I be if I did?”
Ashley smiled when she heard that he considered her a friend. She let him in the ROR and poured him some tea.
“I was thinking we could take this time to talk and learn a little bit more about each other,” Draco said.
Ashley smiled and nodded. “That’s a great idea, Malfoy”
Draco smiled. “Ok…what should I know about you?”
The two talked until lunch was over. It was time for potions.
“It’s time for potions. I hear we’re making love potions today. Specifically Amortentia. It’s one of my favorite potions because it reveals a person's true self” Ashley giggled and skipped out of the room and headed to the dungeons.
Draco smiled and followed her.
They were put into pairs for the lesson. The pairs were Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione, Blaise Zabini and Daphne Greengrass, Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott, Astoria Greengrass and Goyle, Crabbe and Romilda Vane, and Ashley and Draco.
When the pairs were done making the potion, they had to share what they smelled with their partner.
“You go first,” Draco said.
“Ok. I smell…fresh mint, leather, snakeskin, and…” Ashley said.
“And what?” Draco smirked. He knew she was smelling him.
“And…green apples…” Ashley blushed, then cleared her throat. “Your turn. What do you smell?”
“I smell…cat fur, mint, strawberries, raspberries…and…rose-vanilla perfume…” Draco said.
Ashley smirked. She picked a piece of cat fur out of her hair and adjusted her strawberry headband. “Interesting…”
Snape clapped to get their attention. “You all did great. Class is dismissed!”
Ashley took a bit of the potion and put it in a small vial and left the classroom.
Draco also took a bit of the potion. She knew the truth now…and the truth was that he was in love with her. And he knew that she felt the same way.
Ashley was working on making a truth potion when Draco walked in.
"Look…I think we should talk about what happened in Potions" he said
Ashley nodded. “I agree. Tea?” She had put the truth potion in the teapot and she poured herself a cup.
Draco nodded. And watched her as she filled a cup up with tea and put it in front of him as he sat down.
Ashley sat down and took a sip of her tea. “So…”
Draco looked at her as he took a sip of his tea, and the spell kicked in. “So…Look…I really like you…I have since first year…”
Ashley looked at him. “I know…I have too”
Draco smirked and got up. He walked over to her and kissed her.
Ashley blushed but smiled and kissed him back.
