chapter 14~ "Code Black"

Jades POV ~a few days later

After the shit show a few days ago I have still not been relieved from duties even though I can hardly move my arm, when I woke up this morning the bed was covered in blood from where my stitches were.

However that's not what's on my mind right now, I'm currently in the middle of driving to the red blood roses gang house for an emergency meeting and my presence was requested by Ace much to the disappointment and disapproval of Wesley I got up, got dressed and left.

By the time I eventually arrived car's were everywhere. "Holy shit they weren't kidding" I said outside as I stepped out the car closing the door behind me.

As I walked towards the mansion I locked the car door from over my shoulder and headed on inside to see what the hell is going on.

Once everyone was eventually seated around the table Ace stood up and started going over a mission where most gang members were needed.

The plan was to storm a trafficking groups hideout where women and children are believed to be. I've never seen Ace so worried or anxious about anything in my entire time I'd known him his temper was erupting and beads of sweat were pouring down his face.

"There will be four teams one covering each exit and entry point, each group will have 8 members and all will be armed with weapons from the gun room. Our best shooters will be the leaders of these teams so I don't care if anyone's got beef with another person that will be put Aside for this mission and I mean it!" Ace snaps as he eyes everyone.

He breaks the gang into teams and tells everyone who's in charge of there groups. Ace, me, Jacob and Kai will be in charge of the teams, wyatt is with me, Alex is with ace, Noah is with Jacob and Ethan is with Kai.

"Jade I've got to talk to you in private about this, everyone else is dismissed and remember we move at nightfall I want everyone ready and in the vehicles by 7 sharp. Everyone who hasn't been put in a fire team  will be waiting outside and some at  the gang house incase shit hits the fan." ace says and the crowd dispersed off to the armoury and getting things they need.

The only people remaining in the room were me, wyatt and ace. Ace looked at me eyes filled with worry and stress. "What is going on ace?" I ask eyeing him anxiously awaiting the answer as he paces back and forward. He obviously didn't hear me so I shout.

"ACE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!"

Aces POV (earlier in the day)

I was awoken to the sound of Jacob saying "Boss there's a call for you! It's important". I shot up out of bed and shoved on clothes and my boots then headed down to my office where Kai was standing with the phone in hand.

"Who is it?!" I mouthed as he shrugged and responded "unknown caller" as he handed me over the phone as i sat down. I put the phone to my ear and spoke.

"Hello?".  "Ah ace how nice it is to hear your voice again" said a thick Russian male accent through the phone. "Dmitri" I knew the tone and sound of his voice right away, I had worked for Dmitri a couple of times of drug runs and deals where he needed backup and extra security but I hadn't heard from him in a while.

"Is there anything I can do for you?" I asked as I rubbed the space between my eyebrows where a headache was forming due to to much liquor last night. He lets out a chuckle, that's when I started to become uneasy because the whole time I had known him he never chuckled unless something is wrong or he is double crossing someone.
