Y/N POV

I took the purple envelope from the floor and inspected it for a while. It didn't have any address or stamp on it so it couldn't be from the post office. Maybe someone might have dropped it off at my door and maybe that's why I heard some shuffling outside. But who? And what for?

I'm probably overthinking it as usual. It's probably nothing and I'm just making a big deal out of it. Who knows? It could've just been Hyunjin playing a prank on me. In which case, I would be really, really upset if he was because this is actually quite scary to me.

I stepped out the doorway a little and tried searching for someone- anyone, but unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone. Hyunjin wasn't even there which meant the person who placed this envelope in front of my door must've known who I was and where I lived.

Only a few people know about this: Hyunjin, the other members, Wang Ja, and my family. No one else knows. Could it be that one of them were playing a prank on me? But at this time of night? Who would do such a thing?

As endless questions bombarded my head, the elevator door opened and I saw Hyunjin walking out from it. He's only arrived now, that means he couldn't have put this envelope in front of my door... oh god.

"Thank you so much." I said as I took my bag from him and quickly pulled him inside the house.

"Oo getting a little wild there, aren't we?" He smirked cunningly as I rolled my eyes, trying to lock the door as quick as I could.

"You wish," I brought him to sit at the couch before sitting next to him, turning to face him.

Hyunjin's expression suddenly changed. He went from cunning to a little concerned. "You seem a little worried, is something wrong?" He placed his hands on top of mine.

I pondered whether or not to tell him but since he's already here, why not? And besides it'll be better for someone else to know. If it's a prank we can both laugh about it and if it's not...

I don't know.

NO ONE'S POV

Y/N fixed her posture and took the envelope that she was hiding behind her back. "I found this outside my door just before you came. There's no address or stamp on it so I'm a little wary about whether or not I should open it." She told him truthfully.

He took the envelope from her and began to scout it, observing from the front and back. There really wasn't any address or stamps on it, Hyunjin thought to himself.

"Do you want to open it together?" Hyunjin asked, gently tightening his grip on Y/N's hands. She nodded.

They both took a deep breath. Hyunjin let go of her hands and opened the mysterious envelope. The letter opened with 'To: Y/N' in big letters. Hyunjin then flipped it open.

...

Both their eyes widened. They sat still in shock for a few seconds before coming back to reality. The air around them grew with tension and fear. With shaky hands, Y/N took the letter into her own hand, giving it a closer look.

"It's probably nothing right?" She said, her voice a pitch higher than normal.

"I'm sure it's nothing, probably another advertising scheme or something," Hyunjin said as he tried to make the best out of the situation, trying to lighten it.

"What advertising scheme has the words, 'BREAK UP' in dark red ink?!" Y/N shouted unwilling, making Hyunjin flinch a little.

It was the first time she ever shouted at him. Of course she didn't mean it that way and Hyunjin definitely didn't think she was shouting at him but he still felt a little hurt. However, he was more worried.

He reached out for her shoulders and held it, shifting her slightly to face him. "Look at me," He said ever so gently. Her eyes was still focused on the letter that was now on the ground. It was as if she was under a spell that was luring her towards the suspicious letter.

Hyunjin shook her a little, hoping to gain her attention. "Y/N, look at me." She finally heard his voice and snapped out of the spell, turning her focus to him.

Hyunjin smiled once she looked at him, "It's going to be okay," She was a little hesitant at first but when she saw his eyes, there was a glimpse of hopefulness.

"We're going to go to the police tomorrow morning to get this reported and I'm sure in no time, the person who did this will be caught, okay?" Hyunjin assured her, changing the position of his hands from her shoulder to her jaw, holding it gently. She nodded.

"Do you want me to stay the night?" He asked.

"Don't you have practice tomorrow? I don't want to be the reason you miss out on training." She replied, looking down.

"Don't worry about that, I will always be here for you. Besides, our practice doesn't start until three in the afternoon so I can stay with you for as long as you like tonight." He gave her a sweet smile.

"Then if it isn't a problem, please stay with me for the night." She pleaded to which Hyunjin immediately accepts. He took her hand and they both went to the bedroom together.

Once they were inside, Hyunjin sat on her bed while she turned off the lights outside. "Babe, do you have any clothes I can change into?" He searched around the room for anything he could wear but it's mostly just clothes that wouldn't fit him.

"Your hoodies are all in the bottom left drawer. Just take any." Y/N replied, coming back into the room after switching off all the lights in her house.

"What's this?" He arched an eyebrow, taking out a hoodie that didn't belong to him. "No, who's this?" He sounded a little jealous.

"You're so dramatic, it's Joohyun's. My family came to visit me after I got this apartment a while back and he left his hoodie here on accident." She took the hoodie from Hyunjin's grip as his face softens at her reply.

"Oh," He let out.

After he changed into his own hoodie, he creeped into the bed space next to her and laid down. He moved his body to face her and with the moonlight from the window reflecting against her face, he felt all sorts of flutters in his stomach. The shimmering light was so

"Why are you smiling so much?"

"You're so beautiful, you know that?"

That sentence alone took Y/N so off guard she almost forgot everything that happened in the past hour. She blushed, her rosy cheeks looking even more beautiful to Hyunjin's eyes. He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her body.

"Are you scared?" He pushed away a strand of hair that was in her face.

"Of course," She paused, "but with you beside me, I think I'll be fine." She snuggled up closer to him, leaning on his broad chest.

Soon Y/N fell into deep sleep but Hyunjin was still wide awake. The thoughts of the letter kept him awake when he didn't want to be. Was it a saesang? If so, why would they do such a thing?

Even if he said all those reassuring things to Y/N earlier, he wasn't sure if it was actually reliable. He was scared- scared of what might happen. But right now, he was going to be there for her even if it's the last thing he did.
