Hello- hello? Can you hear me?
(Warsaw Poland, 2055)
I don't know if you can hear me- the date is uh- January... 17th- of 2036- I am Knyazev Vladimirovich- of the Russian Federation- based in Moscow. Today, several dozen events spanning from Paris to Kyoto to Chicago- all over the world cases of strange happenings have been reported, from pillars sprouting from the ground, to portals opening, to even creature appearing- things have been happening- the world is in complete chaos- downtown Moscow has caved in- Siberia as a whole is shifting away from our land mass- the United States military is attacking several of these creatures portals- or where they're coming from- only 67 have been killed, 6,793 soldiers have fallen. 9 species have been studied- however 107 have been observed by governmental figures and sources. The one we're the most worried about, "Entity 0101" dubbed, "Water Bear" is the most terrifying by far-
"JACK! Shut that shit off and load the machine guns, we gotta be ready for the fall of the blockade." Sir Assyl Yerzhanov yelled across the small metal room as he slammed his bottle of beer down on the table. I quickly shut off the radio and stand to salute Sir Assyl, I grab my rifle, pulling it close to my chest and sliding my helmet on.
I march over to the machine guns mounted onto the wall, I slide the metal protector open to see what I'm working with. I turn around and grab a belt of 50 cals off of the table, I run it through the slit in the machine gun and slide it back tightly. I grab a pair of binoculars and pear through them, several men in tattered tactical gear roam the trench lines, I can tell they are looking for something.The radio crackles to life behind me;
2036, April 9th. I have no time for introduction, a creature that only one of has been observed, noted as "The Eye", we don't know what it does, but if you hear this, it's here for you to.With that transmission, a pupil opens in the sky.And stares, at us.
I take a sharp inhale, I grip the trigger guard, the pupil becomes smaller but is darting closer, I raise my rifle and aim down the sight while Assyl arms the machine gun, the creature now close up to the guards, appears to be about 10x10 feet, with several tendrils shooting out and sticking to near by surfaces. The machine gun fires starts, and I am and take a shot, the bullets hit it, one or two that is, it quickly flinches are darts to us. It slams against the metal wall with great force, I slam the sliding door shut before it's tendril can pierce through it.I press my back against the opposite wall while Assyl fires blindly, hoping to hit the creature. The radio flashes on once again;
This creature seems to be very tame, but it never dies, even through testing, it's tendrils can stick to anything, bullets barely hurt it, same with blunt force, it extremely fast and defies our known gravity, the creature will only attack if eye contact is made, it also seems to have the ability to summon pillars at random, these pillars are made of an unknown substance, radiate extreme heat, and has a hum that measures out at 220 decibels from 2,200 feet away. Whatever you do- do not continue to attack or keep eye contact with it. With that the radio shuts off, I grip my rifle, pulling out a picture of my boyfriend while I curl up.
A loud bang echoes through the small room, the machine gun fire stops, and I can feel something watching me. I stare at the picture of him before sliding it back into my pocket, I grip my rifle, and feel around the room, finding the stairs and going down. I hear the wet snaps of the tendrils as they follow me, I inhale softly as I jiggle the handle to the door, I open my eyes and run as far as I can see. But in the flat lands like Poland, there is a lot to see. I dash, tears flowing through my eyes as I type in the word to my phone, The one that can save us all; METRONOMICON
