Hey guys sorry about the long wait I just never got back to writing the story. Now I am officially going back to writing and as soon as I'm done with this book I have another planned in mind. I don't know how you guys feel about LGBTQ+, but it will have plenty of them in the new book. And I hope you guys look forward to this story as much as I am. I worked really hard on it and even made it at least 1000 words!!!! Anyways back to the story!

"Well then, I am Uru, your new cook. They are Emily and Jesse." I smiled and shook his hand.

"Awesome! My house isn't too far from here so follow me guys. Come on Doshi." Akira grinned as he headed in the direction of his home.

As Akira began to walk, I mind linked with Emily and Jesse. "Emily you stand behind Akira and Doshi in the middle." Emily jumped and looked around until she spots me with a questioning look to which I reply with a smile. "Don't be afraid. I am mind linking with you. I have many different abilities you haven't seen. Jesse, you and I will surround Emily. Also be cautious. Although he seems like a nice guy, I don't want us to let our guards down. He is a stranger and we can't trust him yet. Also don't act suspicious, be normal teenagers. Understood?"

They nod their heads and assure me with a smile. I let out as sigh and begin to notice the slow change in our surroundings. The woods we were in is slowly opening up to a main road. A few stores and an apartment complex can be seen into the distance while the silence of the woods start to give way to the sounds of the city.

We walk up the steps of Akira's apartment to his door. He turns to us and asks, "So before any of us walks into my home, please take your shoes off and put the to the side of the door on the shelf."

We nod our heads and he unlocks the door. Doshi dashes into the apartment and sprawls on the couch. Akira chuckles awkwardly then let's us in. "Sorry about that, Doshi usually sleeps on the couch. Um... I only have two bedrooms. Maybe Jesse and I can sleep in my room while you girls have the guest bedroom?" He asks shyly with a blush.

I smile and pat his back then add, "Don't worry about it. Maybe we should eat dinner first then talk about what's going to happen. Besides we don't want to be a bother to you, we already intruded your normal routine."

"Well it's nice to finally have people around. I don't really have my friends over because they leave the place totally trashed. You're right though, we should have dinner first. The kitchen is over here." He waves us over as we head towards the kitchen. The kitchen has an island with a marble counter top on the middle and polished cherry wood cabinets, there is a minimal amount of cooking utensils all of which seem to have a particular place.

"So I don't really have much because I basically live off of frozen dinners or microwaveable foods, but since you're going to be my new cook we need go shopping so I can have a real meal for once!" He chuckles while rummaging through the fridge for a bit. I smile thinking about how wonderful a home cooked meal would be, it's been ages since I lad had one.

"That is no problem although we cannot go with you." I say with slight disappointment. He gives me a confused look.

"Well why not? Did you get yourself in trouble or something?" He asks cautiously.

I think about how to respond to him. If I told him the truth he would definitely be in danger, more danger than for just letting us stay here. No, it would be too much of a risk to let an innocent bystander into this.

"No, we've just been traveling for a while and are tired. Besides we're new to the area and Emily here, has social anxiety. Jesse on the other hand doesn't talk much with others."
I say with ease. I look to Emily and Jesse as they give me a knowing look.

"Oh okay, for a minute there I thought you guys were like running from the cops. No offense, teens these days are crazy. I mean what kind of teen tries to hot wire a car?!" He practically yells as he throws his arms up wildly.

"I wouldn't know. I haven't gotten out enough to know what city life is like."

"What? No way!"

"I'm being honest. I was raised in a ... small town. Very small." I say slowly remembering the the facility I was kept in for 10 years.

"Well gosh, that must've sucked. No wonder you speak like an old lady..." he replies mumbling the last bit.

I chuckled and sat on the the barstool. "Well I must say there were never children around, only adults." I said calmly. "Now, go shopping if you're still expecting an actual meal."

"You are absolutely right! Mkay I'll be back in jiffy." He runs towards the door but before leaving he says, "By the way are any of you allergic to anything?"

I look to Emily and Jesse and see them shake their heads. "No we're fine with just about anything, thanks for the consideration."

He nods and says "Okay cool. One last thing if you're lying and plan to steal from me I have cameras hidden all over. No offense."

I laughed wholeheartedly. "Sweetheart, if I wanted to steal from you I would have no need to interact with you. Although, I was wandering if all people now at days are as happy-go-lucky and carefree as you." I reply smiling.

He smiled and nodded before leaving. Once I could no longer hear his footsteps I spoke. "Do not let your guards down under any circumstances. We do not know him nor what he's capable of, if push comes to shove I will mindlink you both. I will distract him which will give you time to escape. You're to leave the premises immediately and hide in a bush exactly 1 mile away to the east. Don't leave a trail. You must stay silent until I come find you. I will mind link you to tell you its safe to come out, if I don't come within an hour you must leave. Jesse you must protect her with your life, and Emily you must do as he says."
