The first thing I could remember was my mother's warmth, I felt so safe with her. She always said I was special. I loved her and then one morning three years after I was born, she vanished. "Oh shoot!" a woman said as I woke up.

"Oh no did I wake ya? Sorry 'bout that pudden. Mommy fell trying to hang my old hammer on the wall." she said I had never met her before, but I knew that this woman was my mother. "Mama." I said, "Here I got an idea. Let's see what''s on TV, maybe Ivy's made the news again." she said as she turned in the TV, 'And in more sombering news Metropolis has been destroyed by a neuclear bomb. Reports say that the Joker caused the explosion.' the reporter said, "Oh my God. I can't believe I was ever with that man. But hey! Look at us now! Mommy's got her doctorate back, I'm restarting my practice. And we have this lovely new loft, we're getting our lives back on track pudden." she said as she kissed my head, "Harley." a man said, "Uh, hey there Batsy, I actually go by Holly now. W-What can I do for ya?" Mama asked as she held me close, "It's Superman, he's on the war-path, crossing of names on the Rogue's Gallery and the watch list. You're on the watchlist, and you're one of the few who are activly changing her life. Thought I should warn you." Batman said before he left, "Mama?" I said worriedly, "Hey don't worry, Mommy's gonna be fine. Batsy's just concerned about us." she said as she kissed my head, "Come on, let's go get pizza for dinner. Joeys should still be open." she said sweetly as she picked me up.
After dinner Mama and I started a movie, but I fell asleep. I don't know how long I was asleep, but I was woken up by the sound of the wall shattering, "Mama?" I said groggily, "Please stop, don't do this." Mama begged, "Holly, Jessica, Lee. None of those names matter. No matter how much you claim to have changed, you never will! You'll always just be Harly Quinn! Once a villain, always a villain!" a man said, suddenly I heard a loud snapping sound and my mother went limp, "Mama?" I said as I crawled to my mother's body, "Mama, wake up." I said as I shook my mother, "Sorry bout this kid, but the fruit of the poisoned tree is poison all the same." the man said, suddenly my head began to hurt and I felt tons of pressure on my scull, then I passed out from the pain.
"MAMA!" I creied, "Hey, hey I'm right here." Mama said as vines wrapped around me, and lifted me up so I could see her, but I was shocked to see the mother I knew was a completeley different woman.

"What, did you have a nightmare? Wanna sleep with Mama?" she said sweetly as the vines brought me to her, "Hey you're shaking, what's wrong kiddo?" she asked as I fell into her arms, I silently cried into her breasts, "That's fine, you don't have to say anything. You need to cry, then cry your heart out. I'm here for you when you need me." she said. My mother had alays said I was special, all moms say that about their kids, mine said I was special because I have powers.
