Erens POV~
"Tch. You need to focus. Use all your strength, and just pull yourself up. Pay attention to nothing else but getting to the top." I clenched my teeth, and felt sweat slide slowly from my left temple to my chin, until it dripped off. My arms shaking, looking right up at the rope tied to the ceiling of the gymnasium, and quickly slammed my arms up as high as I could reach, and I gripped the rope.
This is the one thing I could never accomplish. And the strangest thing is, the few things that I have trouble with, he always supports me. Yes, my friend Levi Ackerman, the cold hearted emotionless, dark Levi. And he was right below me, coaching me. I sighed, and pulled the arm of mine that was lower, and gripped directly above the other. Then I pushed my left arm up, once again gripping it.
Then I slipped, and felt myself falling. I attempted to save myself by grabbing the rope, but knowing I wasn't fast enough, I just shut my eyes quickly and braced to feel the gymnasiums hardwood floor. This wouldn't be the first time I fell off the rope. Actually, every time I try to climb it I fall. Finally, I realized that an impact had come, but I was softer than expected. I, being very confused, opened my eyes to find none other than Levi holding me in his arms. Oh. My. God. Levi usually just let me hit the ground, but he actually caught me. "Oi, brat, you okay? I didn't catch you for nothing." He said. All I knew next was darkness.
Levi's POV~
As Eren fainted, I felt the heat flash to my face immediately. I sighed at how much of an inconvenience this was. I carried the unconscious boy straight to the P.E. teacher and told him what had happened. "We should ban that Jaeger boy from the rope!" He said, laughing at his own joke. I felt a slight anger rise to my face. I bit my tongue to avoid not saying anything. At this moment, I didn't really realize how much I was caring about Eren. "Tch. Can I just take him to the nurses office?" I more said than asked. "Yeah, might as well." He said said as he quickly pulled his walkie talkie out. "Coach Pyxis to Nurse Hanji." "I'm here!" "Hey Hanji, I'm sending one student down carrying another fainted student-" I couldn't hear the rest of the conversation-that is, if there was more to the conversation than that.
~nurses office~
I sat with Eren, as I watched the little brat breathe so softly. He was really.... cute when he was sleeping. Almost something I'd like to wake up to. I immediately felt my ears burning. What!? Did I just think that!? I looked back at him and ruffled his hair slightly. I realized why I thought it though. He was very cute. Even though crouching next to the nurses Cot wasn't very comfortable, I elected to stay doing so. I sighed as I ran my hand carefully down his soft cheek. "Huurrrmmm...." He moaned. I smiled slightly at him. He was too adorable, even though I was the short one. Height has always been such a disadvantage to me, but luckily it never takes away from how strong I am. "Well, young man, I told you your friend is going to be alright! No need to worry!" The nurses voice came from behind me. My ears and whole face started burning at the realization of the fact that my hand was still on my cheek. I quickly snatched my hand back out of embareassment, and she giggled at me. "Is he your....?" She said with quite the questioning tone. "Tch. Of course not." I said quickly, turning around "He's my brat friend, I'm just slightly worried." I said, rubbing off an annoyed look. I sighed as I turned back to Eren. Then I switched so I was sitting on my knee's as I first crossed my arms, then rested my head down over my arms. Before I knew it, my consciousness faded into darkness as I slept next to the brat.
