CHAPTER 1

"No! I already told you both about twenty-three times, and yes I started counting after the fifth, that I cannot go." Audrey said to her boyfriends who were currently looking at her with puppy eyes after she declined their offer for dinner that night at her favorite restaurant.

"Audrey, you never decline our offers for dinner" Aki said disappointed at his girlfriend for declining his invitation for dinner once again

"Even when you're reading that stupid book of yours for the hundredth time. That's weird, even for you Hope, and we're talking about your favorite book." Max interrupted the boy with his comment which made Audrey smile noticing once again how well he knows her.

"I'm sorry you guys, I just can't today". The girl kissed them both at the cheek and walked away to meet her best friend who was sitting at their usual table at Constance Billard St. Jude's.

"A, where were you yesterday?" "Yeah Audge, Dumbo was so boring without your judgmental looks and comments." "Audrey, you were supposed to do a story with Jules last night" The blond was fired with questions by her friends

"Thanks Luna, but I'm sure you and Monet had that covered for me." Audrey rolled her eyes at the girl and continued "And I was at home Jules, well not my home actually... I mean, yes it's my home now or my place... Whatever, I just couldn't go."

"Audge, I mean it, we missed you yesterday." Luna reassured her friend.

"I'm sorry, the last few days just have been a lot and I'm not being allowed out because my dad is here, and I haven't told that to Max and Aki yet and, it's just been too much" The girl in distress let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in.

"Wait what? Rewind, your dad's here?" The influencer looked at her friend with a mix of sympathy, worry and pity.

"Yeah, and I know I was never one to follow Kiki's rules but it's just different with my dad, you guys know it." Audrey said with watery eyes.

"We are here for you now just like we were back then" Monet promised. "Now, we better get going, BTW your boys have been looking towards us since you've left their side Audge."

"They can't keep their eyes off you girl" Luna playfully mocked the blond but was interrupted by the ring of a phone.

Audrey reached for her phone inside her purse and once she found it and looked at the caller, she let out a growl. "My dad's calling... You guys go ahead and walk in, I have to take this"
Julian snatched the phone from her best friend "No, you do not, he can wait, come on let's get going."

"And by the way, you're not getting this back 'til the end of the day." Luna showed her friend the phone that was handed over to her by Julien.

"I really need to answer, what if it's important?" Audrey said with worry in her voice.

"No, you don't, and that's final. We're having a girl's day after school, so skip last period, we're going out shopping and having a night out, your father will just have to deal with it, and you, simply don't get a say in the matter." Monett more stated than suggested.

"Yay, so it's set. We'll meet outside before last period, and Audge don't worry, we'll make sure you have an amazing time."
After that, Julien and Monett walked to the opposite side of Audrey and Luna, each of them going to their first classes of the day.
