I had my ears plastered against the door of the meeting room. I heard today's meeting was very important and I can guess from the attendant status that something big is about to happen or has already happened . I'm the daughter of the general officer of hybrid techs and I have always been by his side during his usual meetings . although our program is financed and run by the government neve r in time have I ever seen this much government official attend in the same meeting and only a few top notch scientists amongst us know about the reason behind this gathering and all of them are in that room. so that being said my curiosity is starving like a stray cat and since no one is going to feed it I might as well stand and figure it out.

"This is in fact the most extraordinary find in the history of man kind as tempting as it seems it can't be publicized . we still don't know how to use it yet and it can both a cause for destruction and a way of growth" said a man I immediately recognized as Dr. Blackford whose the leader of team alpha aka the meta physics department. "That's what our question is exactly Dr. we didn't come here to hear about the odds we are hear to get answers and we don't have a second to waste so get to your point already " barked one of the older military man and by the sound of the storm in his voice I deduced he has an important position. " well gentlemen we don't have time to waste either and we sure as hell didn't call you all the way here for nothing . They have contacted us they know about us way before we even found them and they have an offer." my father sound echoed in the room as every one else fell utterly silent. This just got interesting I muttered to my self .

Right then I heard footsteps around the corner of the corridor and the meeting room is located right at the end so their is no means of escape from where I'm standing . I started praying they won't come this way by some miracle because if anyone catches me lurking around here I'm in so much trouble. A strong male voice cut of off my internal panic attack. "Annie?" , I turned to see Lucas standing a few feet behind. Really universe did it have to be him out of hundreds of workers that could've been catching me it was him who does. " what are you doing here " we both ask at the same time . " look I don't have time for this ." but he cuts me off before I finish " I asked you a question Annie " " that's none of your concern, why are you here this a restricted area" I snap back. I know that wasn't the best answer but I couldn't come up with a better one at the moment ."you shouldn't be at snooping around thing that just aren't your business you'll get in trouble " " well you shouldn't be here either , so are you gonna tell me the reason why your freezing the air with your so called cold as ice persona" " this no time for jokes " " look I don't want trouble neither do I want to stand here and chat with you no offence but I don't usually converse with statues " with that he rolled his eyes and moved out of my way so I could go but just as I passed him the realization dawned up on me. " you here to find some answers aren't you? " I turned so as to meet his gaze he looked at me straight in the eyes and said " And what makes you think that ? " " because we are both here for the same reason" .
