Della was now divorced from Jim. The pain of betrayal still came to her sometimes, but she had become much considerably hardened as compared to a year ago. At the Christmas party last year, she had met a really nice guy, whose social status was the same as hers. It was love at first sight, and her parents had approved of their relationship. They had been going out together for a year and their relationship progressed well.
Della was doing her usual shopping in the malls when she met Jim. He had another woman in his embrace now. She sighed and shook her head. Jim the playboy, thank goodness she had divorced him! Bella had had a taste of her medicine now, she pondered.
What actually happened to Jim was that Bella had left him the next day he had signed the divorce papers. He was unable to find her again, and did not know where she had gone. He could not contact her as her phone number was no longer in use. He took a long time to get over that lost, and actually never got over her. He merely found a new girlfriend to numb his pain of loss.
Unknown to him, however, he should have considered himself lucky that Timothy had exposed Bella and told her not to do so to Jim, as she had did to her many previous husbands. Otherwise, like the rest of her husbands, Jim would have had been poisoned to death, with his assets all bequeathed to Bella.
Bella was now living abroad, and never to return to the country, as instructed by Timothy, or her crimes would be exposed.
Timothy sat back in his couch, satisfied. The whole episode had been successfully manipulated, and the three of them, Della, Jim and Bella would never have known each other's side of the story.
