Missing you (oneshot)

it's been a few months since Jen last saw Judy, her heart ached every time she thought about her. everything reminds Jen of her, the pain never goes away no matter how many bottles of wine she drinks. Jen looks down at Joey sleeping in her bassinet wrapped in Judy's blanket and chokes back a sob, "it's not fucking fair" she thinks to herself "Judy should be here we should be a three child mothering team". She remembers the look on Judy's face when she told her she was pregnant, she felt horrible knowing Judy wanted to be a mom so bad "way to fucking go Jen fucking up as usual" she thought. But being the literal fucking angel she was Judy supported her through it all. Jen wishes that she would've told Judy that she filled the hole in her heart too, and how she truly felt. Judy was her fucking heart and Jen was head over heels for her all she wanted was to do was cuddle with her, kiss her and never let her go but she did and Judy took her heart with her. Henry always asks about her and if she's coming back, everytime Jen holds back her tears and says "I don't know boop". Henry hugs her and quietly says "I hope it's soon I miss her", Jen let's her tears fall and says "I do too". Charlie hasn't talked about it but Jen can tell he's taking to hard too, she's caught him looking at Judy's painting of the paper cranes with tears in his eyes. It's hard for him to open up to people and he did with Judy he loved her even if he won't say it out loud. Jen is snapped out of her train of thought when Joey starts to stir, "hey baby girl have a nice nap?" she says picking her up. Jen feeds and burps her and lays her back down, "you would've loved your other mama and I know she would've loved you too" Jen says and Joey smiles at her. She picks up Joey's baby book and opened it Name: Joey Ann Hale Harding, Parents: Jen Harding & Judy Hale, Date of Birth: 06/25/2022. Jen smiles slightly reading the first page of the book, she'll make sure Joey knows who her other mom was she'll always talk about her. As far as Jen is concerned Ben is nothing but a sperm donor "fuck him" she always says. Christopher has tried to talk to her but Jen never answers her phone she just wanted to handle this in peace. She stopped going to Friends of Heaven it didn't help anymore, and Karen brought her Mexican lasagna the other day. "I'm so sorry about Judy" she said sympathetically, "yeah well it's been really fucking hard so" Jen said looking down. "Right" Karen said softly "well I'll go now", "ok bye
karen" Jen said forcing a smile and closing the door. She looked at the lasagna in disgust "ugh fucking raisins", she brought it into the kitchen and put it on the counter. Jen ate a little of it and pushed her plate aside "I wouldn't feed this to Sammy" she thought to herself and looked at the cat sleeping on the couch. Joey's fussing snapped Jen out of her thoughts again and she rocked her "shhh it's ok sweetie" she cooed. Jen laid back and closed her eyes, all she could see was Judy smiling and laughing god she loved that smile. Judy was right when she said she would always be there, though Jen wanted more then anything for Judy to be cuddling with her watching their show. Jen opened her eyes and looked at her wrist sadly, she wore Judy's bracelet everyday and always read her note. "Jen, you told me to write you a note so I am, I love you so much. Thank you for everything, I had the best time with you, I always did. I know you don't want me to stay, but I can't go black. Tell the boys I love them and I'm sorry, please take care of yourself and the baby. I want you to know that I'm in love with you, I wanted to tell you,but we wouldn't have had the chance to be together. I will always be with you ~forever yours Judy xoxo~.  She doesn't think it'll ever get easier, the pain of losing her partner won't go away. She's going to try to be ok though for their kids, and for Judy.
