" You filled out an application online, correct?" The manger of Walmart asked looking at me.

" Yes-" I eyed her nametag before continuing my sentence. " Yes, Ms. Apryl. I filled an application out online and they sent me a message saying I had an appointment for today."

She nodded bringing her glasses back to her eyes.
" Okay, there are a couple of people in front of you. I'll bring you into my office in about 15 minutes."

I replied with a simple okay, going to sit back down in the waiting area. After applying to a number of different jobs, I finally got some feedback from Walmart. I didn't know if they were going to accept me or deny me. It was totally nerve wrecking but I was still here.

I eyed the enviornment around me. A bunch of people sitting in the waiting area, waiting to get evaluated for different postions all through out the store.

I watch as Ms Apryl walked outside of her office, reading a name on her clipboard. " Symera Evans" I heard her callout. I watched as a girl around my age got up and followed her into her office.

Feeling as if this was going to be a long process. I unlocked my phone, clicking onto the tik tok icon. I then began to scroll my 'for you' page feed awaiting to be called.

After a numerous amount of other people were called I finally heard my name. I gathered my things and followed Ms Apryl back into her office.

" Hi, how are you doing today Ms. Knox?" Ms. Apryl asked looking at me.

I smiled before speaking up. " I'm doing fine, how bout ya' self?"

" I'm doing great. To begin I will need your birth certificate, resume, and your ID."

I went into my manilla folder grabbing my birth certificate and resume. I then opened my purse and grabbed my wallet. I opened it and grabbed my ID out before handing it to the lady.

She adjusted her glasses before reading over my personal identifications and resume. " Okay Ms Knox, why do you feel as if Walmart is the place for you?"

I cleared my throat and nervously rubbed my arm.
" I believe Walmart is the place for me because I have the skills that will help the store achieve their needed success. I will bring a postive light to the store, along with my great people skills." I explained watching as she nodded.

" Okay, I've looked over your application, resume, personal items, and you've told me why you want to work here. But there is one concern I have because this will be a saftey hazard while working in the store. Are you pregnant?"

Hearing those 3 words immediatly made a clear expression of annoyedness appear on my face. " Yes, I am pregnant but I truly dont understand how me being pregnant is a safety concern. I'm not high risk and I know how to carry myself well." I expressed to her with a pleading look on my face.
