"Well, today's the day." Kurumi muttered under her breath. It's a warm, sunny spring day. The cherry blossoms are on full bloom. She had done lots of preparation and planning for this day to go absolutely perfectly. "What am I going to wear?"
She did lots of thinking, and lots of searching in her wardrobe. She ended up picking what she considered to be the perfect clothes.
A pink gingham dress with a ruffled collar, with white knee-high socks with bows. As for her hair, she wore two pink ribbons on each of her twintails, and a large bow with two holes with ribbons crisscrossing out of them into another two holes like shoelaces. Kurumi doesn't often wear jewellery, but just this time, she wore a long necklace with rose quartz shaped as a teardrop.
She looks in the mirror for a bit, admiring her clothes. "I love it...! I hope Miiko-chan likes it too, though..."
After Kurumi leaves the house, she goes to the bus stop. "Miiko said we were gonna meet here, she said she'd be ready by 11:00, but it's 10:30 right now... looks like I got some time to kill..." Just then, she gets a notification on her phone. "...It's from Michiru."
michi: hey kurumiii!! today's the big dayy!!
kurumi: oh hi michimich
michi: how r u feeling
kurumi: nervous. very nervous.
michi: ohh there's nothing to worry abt!! miikos ur bsf she won't like hate u or anything i'm sure!!
kurumi: that's the problem. shes my bsf. what if she doesn't accept it and it gets in the way of our friendship?
kurumi: im so worried
michi: you'll be fineee!!
kurumi: tysm i have to go tho bye
"Kurumi-channn!! Ahh, hi!" "Miiko-chan, hiiii!!" They hug, and Kurumi feels her heart beat faster from nervousness. How am I going to tell her? she thought. She hardly knows how to convey her feelings, so she's just going to let it all spill out.
Shes made Miikos favourite foods, Truffles and Omurice. She also brought some Strawberry Shortcake and Onigiri. "So, Kurumi-chan! Let's head to the park now!" "O-Okay!"
Kurumi was extremely nervous, and there was no hiding it. "Soooo, what did you bring?" "I brought-" "Wait! Hold that thought! Show Miiko when we get to the park~" "Ah, okay!"
Walking to park, the feeling got stronger and stronger. Simply seeing the cherry blossom trees made her nervous. "Let's go pick a spot..." Miiko whispered to Kurumi. After walking around for a minute or two, they find the perfect spot to have their picnic. Laying the towel and the goodies down, they open their baskets. "Now let's see... y-you brought chocolate!?" "Yeah, I made them actually! Truffles, your favourite." "Y-You made Miiko her favourite chocolates...!? Waaaah-!! Your too nice-" Miiko hides her face, blushing like mad. "(S-She would do that for Miiko...!?)" "I brought omurice and other stuff, too, haha." "WAAAH-!? YOU MADE ALL THIS!?" "Yep!" "EEK-!" "Haha! (She's too cute. Too cute for her own good...)"
15 Minutes Later
"(We aren't eating right now, we're just talking. And we're both in the right mood. I think nows the time. I'm so... so so nervous...)" "Miiko-chan... I have something to tell you." "Yes, Kurumi-chan?" Kurumi stands up and exhales heavily. "(Just let it out Kurumi-chan, Let it out...)"
"Miiko-chan, I love you so much. I love you with my whole soul. I can't help it. Your so perfect. Your my whole world. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. You shaped me. Your all I think about. I feel like how Haruna-chan feels about Miyu-chan... I'm not supposed to be like Haruna-chan, and it's so ironic that i'm acting like her right now. But it's just how I feel, and..." Kurumi feels tears dwelling up in her eyes.
The feelings... Its like nothing she's ever felt before.
Their too strong for her.
"A-And... your just so beautiful... y-your personality is g-great, and... a-and... I just...
Love you. I... I love you, Miiko-chan. It's such a- *sniff* a strong feeling. I-I can't explain i-it... i-i'm s-s...sorry..."
Kurumi falls down and just starts sobbing.
She can't handle how much she actually loves Miiko-chan.
"(Oh my god. She probably hates me. She DEFINITELY hates me. This is the worst day of my life...)" "So... You like Miiko-chan...?" "M-Mhmm..." "...Miiko needs some time to process this..." "(Oh my god Oh my god Oh my GODDD. SHE HATES ME FOR SURE. I KNEW IT WAS GONNA GO WRONG, I JUST KNEW IT-! T-THIS IS ALL TOO MUCH..."
3 Minutes Later
"Miiko has finished processing what you said, Kurumi-chan." Kurumi stopped melting down at this point. She just accepted that Miiko wasn't going to accept-
"I love you too, Kurumi-chan." "You... You what?" "I love you too. I feel the same way." "... *sniff*" Kurumi hugs Miiko tight and starts sobbing again, but this time of happiness. "I-I love you so much...!" "There there... Miiko loves you too..." "I-I'm so happy..."
After she went home, Kurumi was ECSTATIC. She was screaming into her pillow in her room, running around, stimming, everything. She was just... shocked. Shocked that Miiko actually loved her back. Shocked that she can FINALLY call her her girlfriend. She hardly got any sleep that night. She was MUCH too excited.
It was, or as she regards it, the best day of her life.
