IT WAS DULL outside and the only light that intercepted through the window to the room was from the dimly lit moon.
The window was frozen with sheer cold and it looked as though it could probably smash if you touched it.

SNEZHNAYA had always been an icey wasteland encompassed by snow, that's if you could even call it a wasteland. There is beauty in everything; even in the snowy taiga.

You for one didn't remember how you found yourself in this unlit room, with only the moon as your light source.
After all, you can only fight exhaustion for so long and you had definitely reached your limits yesterday.

Now you were fully awake, as if you had been reborn and you climbed out of the unfamiliar bed that you had been placed in. Your eyes were trained on the moon the best they could with the window being completely iced over.

So you took this opportunity to take in your surroundings, the said room that you were in looked as though it had been lived in before and there were parts on the wall which looked like the paint had been obscured a little. It wasn't anything special, the whole theme of the room seemed to be going for lifeless and dull- if the grayscale design of the room was anything to go off of.

You refused to call it your room, not yet at least, you didn't even know where you were... not to mention if you were safe or not.

Admittedly, the room was quite warm and inviting and it seemed as though wherever you were currently, had some sort of heating or insulation, despite the unwelcoming vibe it first imposed. While this did nothing to ease your mind, you were at least reassured that you wouldn't freeze to death.

HOWEVER you were suddenly shook from your observations and your thoughts as the wind howled outside, as if it was trying to break the delicate window of the room you were residing in. This reminded you of the events leading up to your eventual recruitment... if you could even call it that.

Though the memories were a bit fuzzy, understandably, you vaguely remember collapsing in the snow in the middle of a snowstorm but for whatever reason: you couldn't remember why you were out there in the first place.
It probably wasn't important.

SOON you could see the sun rising in the east, it's beckoning glow seemingly contrasting the beclouded night, which meant you would finally be able to see where you were instead of being kept in the dark.

Your eyes moved to the door, you could see that it was locked without even needing to test your hypothesis, and you wondered if the person who brought you here would come see you.

That is unless they were going to leave you here to die however, that's highly unlikely since you were in a heated room and whoever brought you here had the decency to tuck you into a nice warm bed too.
'How merciful of them' You thought to yourself humorously.

IT WASN'T LONG before you could hear voices but they weren't voices of adults per say, the voices sounded more like children and teenagers. From what you could gather, it seemed like you were in a place with other children the same age as you, which reassured you in a strange way.

You kept your ears 'open' and you depended on the voices outside of the room for comfort and reassurance, it seemed to help you logically puzzle together the situation you were in. This was when you decided to step towards the door and press your ear to it, and you found yourself quickly saddening as the voices got further away from the room you were locked in.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, you had at least figured out you weren't going to die.

Whether that's truly a good thing or not, you weren't going to worry yourself about it: death was meaningless to you anyway.
