(IN GYM CLASS)
"Hey isn't your anniversary coming up?" Phoenix said panting like she couldn't breath even though we only ran half a lap.
Phoenix and i have to run laps since we skipped gym on Monday. And Wednesday and Friday.
When we got caught they said they'd have to call our moms or we could run 10 laps today.
We obviously went with the choice that wouldn't have us end up without a social life.
"Yeah, since Shan's been complaining about his broken phone I got him a new one."
"Really? I hope he gets you something. And doesn't forget like he forgot your birthday" phoenix said with a "you deserve better" look on her face.
Phoenix never liked Shan. From the beginning she said she "had a bad feeling about him."
"Oh my gosh will you ever let him live that down gir-"
Thud. A basketball came flying out of nowhere.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hit you, are you okay?" Tia said frantically.
"Ah shit." "no, it's okay I'm fine."I lied while holding my nose, because I didn't feel like having to do these laps on Wednesday.
"No, you're not. your nose is bleeding. You need to go to the nurse." Mr.Ramos said butting in like he always does.
"Phoenix, Take ivory to the nurse please. And come back when she's been checked."
Got it. Phoenix told Mr.Ramos as if she's actually gonna come back.
We turn the corner into the lockers to grab my shirt, because my gym shirt has blood on it.
"Um ivory is that your boyfriend?"
I catch a glimpse of 2 people making out. I stop and try to get a closer look. And, it is... My boyfriend out in the open. Not caring who sees. Just a week before our anniversary.
I can feel the tears forming in my eyes.
"No way, H-he wouldn't. Should i... Go over there? The thoughts in my head all swirling around at the same time.
"I'm gonna go over there and ask him."
"Do you want me to go with you?"
"Yeah, but don't say anything. You have a tendency of solving my problems for me, but this time I have to deal with this myself."
"Ok."
