Chapter Twenty-Five

For You

The bright sunlight blazing into my room through my curtains from the sun outside hits me directly into my eyes causing me to wake up from my sleep. Even though I am waken and had plenty of sleep last night I am still feeling drained and emotionally tired. I just really want to stay in bed all day if I could but unfortunately I cannot because I have this appointment at the babies doctor today.

"Man I'm tired but mommy gotta go see how her babies are during today I see y'all are still sleeping right now" I said rubbing my belly as I talked to my sleeping babies. "I really did get lucky with y'all I can't wait to meet both of you" I said to them again as I got up from the bed and heading into my bathroom to get my day started.

After getting all my morning hygiene together I walked over to the closet to put on some Yellow Lace Bra and Panties set then through on a Casual Letter Print Gradient White Two Piece Shorts Set and a pair of White Low-top Converse Sneakers. I placed my hair into a Double Buns style then grabbed my phone and Yellow Geometric Print Chain Strap Crossbody Bag and headed downstairs to leave for my appointment.

Ding! As I walking out the door a text message from Lamarcus popped up on my phone screen. "Can I take you to the doctor appointment?" I read the text message in my head and sighed before I replied because I don't want to see him but I also don't want to get him out his kids life that wouldn't be right and I ain't that type of person.

Text Message Conversation
Lamarcus: Can I take you to the doctor appointment today?
Cher: No but you can meet me there I'm on my way there
Lamarcus: Okay baby I love you
Cher: Ok
Lamarcus: Cherlynn are you really not gonna say you love me back

"I'm not even going to reply to that" I said to myself as I put my phone into my bag and locked up the house. Of course I love Lamarcus why wouldn't I. But I am not some rebound chick he can use and disposable of when he done. I rather not be with him then to be walking around wandering if he really loves me the way I love him.

As I drive to the doctor all I could think about is him like how can I turn it off did I really fall this hard for someone else man I just don't know how to turn it off. I thought to myself as I pulled up into the parking lot of the clinic. "Hey you look nice" he said helping me get out the car even though I ain't need his help. "Thanks so do you" I said looking over his clothes he had on. He was wearing a Red Nope Not Today Letter Print Tracksuit Set with some All White Jordan's Sneakers and a White and Red Hat.

"Come on back darling" Mrs. Turner said to me. "Is this the baby daddy?" She asked smiling hard at Lamarcus. "Yes this Lamarcus, Lam this is our family doctor Mrs. Turner she's family" I said introducing the two. "Nice to meet you" they both said at the same time. "Right this way" she said walking us back into a room.

"How's has everything been going with the little pumpkins?" She said looking at me "Better than before they are already good babies I fill them kicking all the time" I said laying back on the bed. "Yes that's the beauty of pain" she said jokingly as she perform the check up. "What you think they are?" She asked looking at Lamarcus. "Two boys" he said glancing at the screen. She started laughing and shook her head at him. "There's no penis here look again honey" she said still laughing and watching the screen as well. "We're having two girls doc I see it now" he said excitedly which made me smile too because he was really excited. "Baby we're having girls" he said kissing me on the lips as he smiled bigger.

"You are excellent 26 weeks along so your still in your second trimester next week you will be in your third trimester keep doing what your doing these beautiful babies are healthy and so are you" she said wiping my stomach off. "Hey doc can you tell if the twins identical or fraternal?" Lamarcus asked her. "Yes they are identical you see this they share the same egg if they where fraternal it would be two eggs instead of one" she said handing him the ultra sounds pictures. "So cool thanks doc" he said giving her a hand shake. "My pleasure y'all have a good day" she said smiling at us as we walked out the room. "You gotta get some names together for our girls" he said walking me to the car. "Yeah I know I haven't really thought about any yet but I really need to get some ideas I'm six months pregnant now time flying by we got like three months to go before they here" I said getting into my car. "Yeah I know I'm ready to meet them they got everything set up at the house we just need to get the nursery together now since we know what we're having now" he said looking at me "Yeah I know well I gotta meet Karl at Galaxy Park for lunch" I said cutting the conversation short because I really didn't want to go down that road with him right now we're broken up in I just don't see us getting back together until he's absolutely sure being with me is something he really wants. "Yea okay call me when you get home I really do love you Cherlynn" he said kissing me on the lips then walking away from my car.

I pulled out the driveway with him once again on my mind and headed to go meet Karleisha for lunch which I'm really glad we are because I am so hungry and ready to eat something.

"Glad to see you boo how was the doctor?" She asked hugging me. "Great we're having twins identical to be exact" I said smiling at her because I honestly missed her and happy to be spending some time with my bestie. She was wearing a White Cross Print Rib-Knit Cami Dress with some Pink Sequined Letter Plush Slides. "Omg I can't wait to meet tete cuddles bears" she said rubbing my stomach. "Me either girl what are you getting to eat?" I said looking over the menu on the truck. "I guess I'm going with the Smoked Ribs Combo with Macaroni and Mashed Potatoes as the sides and a Fresh Lemonade with two Lemons in it" she said to the nice lady looking at us. "I want the 10 pieces Traditional Wings Combo with French Fries and Macaroni for the sides and a Fresh Lemonade with Two Lemons for the drink too. I paid for both of our food and we found a nice table to sit at in eat. "This park is packed today" I said to her as we sat on the same side looking out at everyone here.

"I know right but girl I really need to talk to you bout Lamarcus" she said to me as we ate. "I'm listening what bout him?" I asked "I know my brother ain't perfect but he really loves you he came over Na'Quian house last night crying bout y'all breakup he really is over Cailyn girl he has never cried over any girl before I ain't seen my brother down this bad since that bastard ass man walked out our lives he was in really bad shape I ain't gonna lie to you bay can you please give him another chance in if he fuck up this time we will kick his ass together I promise you bay" she said looking at me in the eyes now. "Karl you know for you I will do anything you have been by my side through everything there's nothing I wouldn't do for you and besides I do love your brother he is my first in everything you can't just turn that off no matter what you do" I said looking at her and she hugged me tight "I love you girl you know that in it's nothing in this world I wouldn't do for you either" she said kissing me on the cheek. "Cher also just cause Lamarcus my brother that don't mean I won't fuck him up if he ever hurt you in we will always be family don't matter if you with my brother or not" she said still hugging me. "I know I love you too boo" I said smiling at her and we went back to eating our food in just talking bout our kids growing up together.

"Call me when you make it home safe thanks for lunch" Karl said as we got ready to part Wats with each other. "Okay love you boo" I said giving her a goodbye hug. "I love you more baby doll" she said returning the hugged and we part ways heading home.
