Trish's POV:

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. Throwing back the covers, I slide my feet into my slippers and stumble across the room to my desk, where my phone is lit up and vibrating rapidly. The caller ID displays my boyfriends name, the only reason I even bother to answer the phone at this hour in the morning.
" Hello?" I yawn, rubbing my eyes with my free hand.
" Rise and shine sleeping beauty!" Dez's voice is full of enthusiasm, considering it's 2am.
" What do you want?" I attempt to snap at him, but end up chuckling at his happy tone.
" Just get dressed. Don't worry about breakfast. I'm picking you up in 10 minutes."
I mumble a reply and am about to hang up when Dez says, " Oh and Trish? Don't forget to brush your teeth. So when we kiss, it doesn't taste like your morning breath!" He chuckles and then I hear the tone that signals him disconnecting the call.

I shake my head at my boyfriends teasing and joking around, making a move towards my closet. I decide to wear a pink floral dress that reaches to just above my knee and a pair of flats that are the same colour. I also put on a denim jacket, seeing that it's early in the morning and the air outside could still have a cool bite to it.

I leave my hair down, because thankfully my curls have decided to be kind to me today and I don't look like a circus clown. After brushing my teeth, I grab my phone from where I left it on the bed and head downstairs. I peer out of the front door, to see Dez's car pulling into the driveway. He smiles as he watches me lock the front door and make my way to his car in a hurry, as a rush of cold air sends a shiver through my body.

Opening the car door, I slide into the passenger seat and breathe a sigh of relief to be away from the cool morning temperature. Dez reaches across and pecks me on the lips, " Good morning my gorgeous girl." We drive through the darkness for a while, chatting about this and that. Finally, Dez pulls off the road into a small dirt carpark. With no idea where we are, I get out of the car along with my boyfriend, and walk around to him to take his hand. Before he locks his car, he reaches into the back and pulls out two bags. I offer to carry one, but he refuses. I shrug to myself, not expecting him to have done anything different.

He leads me to a patch of grass in a small clearing, that seems to be sheltered by a dense forest. We stop walking and he sets down one of the bags, opening the other. Dez pulls out a picnic rug and I assist him in spreading it out, placing a mixture of our shoes and the remaining bag on the four corners, to weigh it down. We take a seat, and from the same bag as the picnic rug, Dez reveals a thick blanket. He drapes it over our shoulders and we snuggle up close.

I still have no idea what we're doing, cuddling on a picnic rug in the dark hours of the morning, but I decide to just go with it. After a good 20 minutes or so, my boyfriend presses his lips near the side of my face, whispering into my ear, " look Trish, it's starting."

I look up to see what he's talking about, and realise that the sun is beginning to rise. The dim amount of light on the horizon, reveals the sleeping city below us. We sit and look over it, as the pinks and oranges of the sun rising dance across the sky. I lean in closer to Dez, pushing my body against his. He smiles down at me briefly and kisses my forehead. We sit in a comfortable silence, watching Miami wake up beneath us. It truly is a breathtaking sight.

" I love you Trish." He murmurs and I get butterflies in my stomach. Sometimes he sweeps me off my feet with his romantic gestures.
" I love you too Dez. More than you can imagine."
"You hungry?" He asks, and just like that, the romance fades. I can't help but grin at his awkward timing and obliviousness to our 'moment'.
I nod in answer to his question and he opens the second bag. The smell of pancakes wafts through the air, impressing me even more.
" You cook these?" I ask as he hands me a paper plate with two syrup covered pancakes.
"Nope." He answers, popping the 'p', "picked them up on my way to get you." I giggle at his goofiness. To be honest, if Dez had tried to cook pancakes, his house probably would've burnt down!

Even though they aren't homemade, the pancakes are good, and I wash them down with a coffee Dez had picked up from Starbucks. With a full stomach, I sigh contently and snuggle back into the warmth of my boyfriend's arms.

Dez's POV:

Trish wriggles back into my arms and I start playing with her hair. I wrap an individual curl around my finger, winding it seven or eight times, before releasing it and watching it spring back into its normal place.

While tugging gently at the loose strands, I begin to think about how much I've missed this. Just me and her. Together. Without any disturbances or interruptions. Without anything to fear. Without anything to worry about. Just me and her, on a date, enjoying each others company. I've missed this so much. I've missed her.

Trish awakens me from my trance, by turning herself around fully, so that her chest is pressed firmly against mine, her legs wrapped around my waist. My breath hitches as she leans in towards me, planting her soft lips upon my own. As our lips move in perfect sinc, my heartbeat accelerates and my entire body pulses. I grab her waist and flip her over, so that she is lying down, me holding my weight above her with my forearms. She bites my lip playfully and I take advantage of it, sliding my tongue into her mouth.

Our makeout session continues to become more intense, and we only break the connection when we are both desperate for air. Between deep breaths, Trish manages to speak.
" So what were you thinking about? You know before we uh... Got distracted."
I laugh at the way she describes our past few minutes.
" I was just thinking about how much I missed you. How much I love you."
We both sit up, not breaking eye contact.
" Oh really? And how much exactly do you love me?" She teases.

In all seriousness I answer her.

" I love you more than anything else on this planet. You are my sole reason for existing. Without you, I don't think I'd manage to get out of bed each day, let alone do the things I do with you by my side. Without you I'd be nothing. I'd be lost. I love you beyond words can describe. Beyond the moon. Beyond the stars. Beyond infinity. You are my everything. I want to grow old with you. I want to get married. Start a family. Travel the world. But if that can't happen, then I'd be happy enough to just sit here holding you, for the rest of my life."

I don't think Trish was prepared for a response like that. To be honest, neither was I. The words just flowed straight from me. But they didn't flow from my mouth. They came directly from my heart. Trish blushes furiously, making her look even more beautiful than before. I smile at her and she smiles back at me. We sit there for god knows how long. Just enjoying each others presence. Because we are happy to. Because nothing is stopping us. Because we are in love.

Hey there guys! So I'm terribly sorry about the long wait. My life has been crazy lately! But I'm back! I know this chapter was full of fluff but I needed to give you guys something for the meantime. I have an idea with where this story is going, so don't panic if it seems as if I have no idea what I'm doing! BY THE WAY... How would you feel about me writing a Rydellington story? I've been seriously considering it lately. But of course I'd keep on writing this story!!
