Callen's POV
Another beautiful day sets in as I pull my hair back mentally preparing myself for my morning run that usually tends to better my day even before it begins. From 4:55-6:00AM, I guess that's a good run. Sometimes I catch myself thinking about how it'd be if we hadn't settled at highland park, a reasonably peaceful place.
I guess you could say I'm living that good life. A perfectly intact family, a loving boyfriend and a very sweet spot that is available for me to go to every afternoon, a coffee shop.
As soon as I'm out that door, a hit of fresh, cold air hits my nose making me smile in content. Without wasting a minute, I hop down the stairs and begin doing what I'm supposed to do.
Timeskip to when she's heading home;
Understandably, I get back home panting like an overworked donkey then leading to me being highly surprised as I find Zoltan awake and in the kitchen with the lights off his skinny body moving around which turned me to self-defense mode thinking we were being robbed.
Silly me, what idiotic thief would get past everything else and first head to the fridge?
"Morning sis?" He speaks with his rumbling thunder-like morning voice. "Hmmmmm," I casually reply with water stuffed in my mouth, sparkling water.
As I swallowed, I ask him what he's up to since he's usually the last person I expect to wake up before 10:00AM.
"Drugs," he shamelessly says with a shitty grin spread across his bootyhole-shaped accessories he calls lips.
Speechless, I shake my head and kiss my teeth wondering what kind of help he'd need to get to not be so stupid.
"Good luck with that," I say as I jog upstairs ready more that ever to hop in the shower.
Being the diva I am, I took HELLA time in there and wasn't really surprised to find everyone awake as I headed back downstairs to energize myself with food so that I could head back to work. except, Zoltan's ass wasn't there.
"Whatever," I tell myself assuming that he had some business elsewhere that he didn't feel was important to inform me about.
"Good morning!" Everybody says in unison as I head over to the kitchen counter when adorable little Telshi was, with an alert face, not moving to avoid himself from falling.
"Are you the most adorable little chipmunk? Yes you are, yeas you are," I say in my baby voice as I pick him up and threw him into the air, earning the cutest little giggles.
My momma just chuckled as she and set the table, followed by Laken's sassy self ordaining everyone to settle at the table, that she ain't got time to waste.
Kids these days
As soon as I bump booties with the chair, I waste no time but start to dig in just realizing that I'm about to be late to my highly important interview.
"Bye family," I let out as I grab my shoes in my hand to rush to my car not even having time to put 'em on.
In no time, I get to my long awaited destination my jaw dropping to the floor since I was caught off guard by the extremely tall building.
As I'm hurriedly putting on my heels, an idiotic blonde teen boy passes by my vehicle with a wire in his hand and he intentionally scratches my very well taken care of baby.
The worst part of it was that the boy ran off and due to me maintaining my sanity and actually wanting to keep my job, I decided to just breathe and let shit go.
