Your entire body jolts from shock, "What the fuck was that" You say out loud.
Your head swivels from side to side, hastily looking around your surroundings for the origin of the voice. But all you can see is a lonely dim alleyway, trash and a dumpster. No other signs of life were in that alleyway with you. The only noise is from the people on the sidewalk and the cars passing by.
The voice sounded as if it was said directly into your ears, but of which makes absolutely no sense because there's nobody else here with you. Bringing your hand/s up to your face, you rub your eye/s and temple out of frustration. You just didn't get it, you can't understand. Didn't that voice sound a bit familiar? It sounded like the voices you heard from the sludge things from that weird 'dream'. Could'nt this ALL just also be a weird fucked up dream? If it was just a dream then that means you'll soon wake up.
HUNGY!

Quickly jumping to your feet with your fist raised and held close to your chest in a fighting stance. Even if this was a sorry excuse of a defensive position; this was all you could attempt to pull off in your scared stupor. Your eyes dart to everything and anything that could possibly move or be big enough to hide a possible threat. Still having yet to spot the source of the voice.
"OK who the hell are you!" you yell out, your words bouncing off the brick alleyway walls before being muffled by the occasional dumpster.
Waiting a few seconds for some sort of noise or reply you open your mouth to speak once more, only to be promptly cut off by dark tendrils shooting out of your skin and attaching itself and you to the rim of the dumpster. You are unwillingly launched forward towards the trash; quickly putting your hands out in front of you. You are able to just barely stop yourself from slamming into the grimey metal.
To say you are freaked out is quite the understatement. Those alien slime things are actually real and still nesting themselves in your body. That could with most certainty mean that you falling from that height was very much a probable possibility. Just thinking of it makes your organs turn and chest constrict in fear and dread.

Your stomach growls painfully, snapping you out of the negative spiral you were about to send yourself down once again. There must be a reason why the creatures kept demanding to be fed. Almost like a child with a limited vocabulary.
Focusing your attention out in front of you, peering into the bin. You are now able to see the newly expired convenient store meals that seemed to have been thrown out quite recently.
'This alleyway must be sandwiched between a few corner side stores that I had failed to pinpoint in my desperate attempts to find a calm place to have my meltdown.' you cogitate to yourself.
You admit your little claim to luck as you dig up a few better looking packages and set them to the side. Sitting back down on the course ground, even though it was unsanitary. All that was on your mind was getting some well needed nutrients before those alien things possibly eat away at one of your organs.
When the food hits your tongue, you melt and quickly devour the much needed meal. Trying to keep in mind you still needed to slow down and chew so you don't choke. Your body relaxes little by little with each and every bite.
You're no stranger to the aspects of dumpster diving having grown up poor, it was just a life skill you had to learn. Remembering the late walks to the nearby grocery store and the few encounters you had with not so friendly racoons.
