That was it!
The alarm reminded me of the last few minutes before going back to the old me. The guy next to me, Joshua, despite being troublesome, was manageable. More than being happy, I was having some sort of relief as he was finally going back to his home. It has hardly been a week since we met, but the number of times he has put me in position has surpassed the limit it could if there was any!

He just casually ran into me on the very first morning of my lone trip asking for some water and since then has not budged a bit. He was successful in convincing me with the cliché story of goon-chasing and lost wallet.

The train was there, right in front of us. Josh mouthed a bye while taking his return tickets from my bag. All I could do was feign a smile and wave back to his retreating figure. A sudden array of emotions drenched me. Unable to bear the heaviness in my heart, I decided to walk back to my car.

"Aahhhh!"
What was that actually, all of a sudden?

Someone pulled my hair and there was Josh with his right fist clenched. Even before I could ask anything he threw a handful of color he stealthily grabbed while I was on a call, a couple of minutes ago. That was the typical Josh's style I always loved. Maybe that was not expected but certainly anticipated.

All I could hear was his loud laughs and I barely managed to see him running towards the moving train.  Those pretty, long, smooth hair of his was waving in the wind while he ran.

I didn't stop him from going. I stood there still, with that piece of paper brimming with my heart's language.

"Dear Josh,

You know what, people have always seen me as a silent, observant and dutiful lady.

Even I have a quirky, fun-loving, eccentric side which I have shown to very very few people, in my close circle, the ones who I care for.

Would you mind joining them?

With love
Janani "

I looked at him not knowing what to do and gently crumbled the letter. My heart told me to scream his name but my brain asked me to be quiet.

Some way or the other, that was true. He is such a genuine soul while I am a complete mess. He doesn't deserve to be dragged into it.

That was it!
