What Is She

*It had been a couple weeks. Taylor was still getting used to her new life. She had her good and bad days. The sun was setting and Taylor opened her eyes as she felt night come. She rolled over and Eric wasn't there, she saw a note at the end of the bed...

"Ran an errand. Your clothes are washed and folded in the chair. No Fang tonight, I thought a visit home might make you feel better. So take your time and get ready, I will be back in a flash my love...E"...

Taylor smiled, snuggled back in her covers, slept for another hour, showered and walked to her clothes. Staring at them, remembering the night, the fear, Eric taking her life. She gasped coming out of the memory and looked in the mirror*

Taylor: Damn blood tears!...*Eric knocked and Amber opened the door*

Amber: Mr. Northman?

Eric: May I?...*She nodded*

Amber: Come in. Please....*He walked in and saw the family pictures. Taylor's life as a child. Eric could hear her laugh throughout the house, see her smile and even hear her pain. He sighed as Amber walked back over with a heated blood bag*...I know some vamps and I know TruBlood is not the best...So...

Amber: How. How is she Eric?

Eric: She. She is adjusting fine. Taylor has her moments. That is normal....*Amber smiles and nods a little. Her phone rings...Nik*

Amber: Excuse me...Yes?

Nik: How is she?

Amber: Dealing as best she can...*He sighs*...Nik, not now.

Nik: Amber, love. She is my daughter. They are my daughters. John is my son....*Eric heard the voice on the other end. That old, English voice. He remembers him from the hospital. It hit him that he was talking to Taylor's father*

Amber: Nik, not now.

Nik: Who is with you?...Please, Amber. I need to know h-...She, this will change her.

Amber: Taylor is scared Nik. Very, very scared.

Nik: Does she know anything?

Amber: Nik, not now. Please...

Nik: Who is there with you tha-...Northman? Is he there?...*Eric walked over*

Eric: My name?...*Amber turned around with tears running down her face. The truth was coming out. Eric was here and there was no way out of this*

Amber: I will...I love you more...Always and forever...*She hangs up and Eric hands her a tissue*...May we sit?...*They walked over to the couches. Eric sat across from her*
