I am attempting to make a story about a fugitive who once was the personal body guard to the prince, but due to the two falling for each other the queen fired him and put a bounty on his head. Duke aka the fugitive managed to join a group on the outskirts of the kingdom.
Duke can be a very cold person even to those he wants to believe he can trust. He became this way because of his past of being a royal guard. He is in a group of fugitives called The Night Watchers who wish to shed light on how corrupted the queen and those under her have become.
The group consists of Duke who is a anti-social shadow elf, Athena who is a courageous fire elf, Author who is a fatherly leaf wing, and Skyler a young tigress Author took in. One can not forget Athena's pet horned owl Errol.
Ok but here is the thing I already have part one (it is very short though), but I don't know how to make the switch in povs more obvious for the reader. I say this because the first chapter is in Duke's pov but the second one is in the prince's so that there will be more understanding of how they know each other. So I ask can anyone help me?
