new year.oh how much you love new year!!being with people you love,food and just overall having a positive feeling but that one thing...ruins everything.

fireworks.you hate them!so loud and just dangerous.you always were scared of them even as a kid.the feeling of it hitting you or the pain it could cause you never leaves your body when you see one.

and today is the day...everyone is excited about them but not you and of course you don't want to ruin the mood.

„this will be so cool!!"you hear denki shout from the kitchen while everyone is in the living room,discussing what we should do for that special day.

„i know right!me and sero also bought many different kinds of fireworks so it will be a day nobody could forget!"kirishima says and sero just gives him a lazy smile.

you nervously bounce your legs up and down which katsuki of course notices.he doesn't really care tho.you always are a nervous wreck and it's probably nothing serious.

you look at the clock to see that it's 23:30 which means you have enough time to run away and go to your room.everyone stands up and does their own way.some to the kitchen because they want to make sure denki doesn't do shit and some others just talk about stuff while going to their room.

you are about to go to till katsuki pulls your wrist and makes you look at him.
„why are you so nervous?"he asks you.
„huh?i-i'm not i don't know what you mean because i'm obviously not nervous"you speak as fast as you can.

he just raises an eye brow and you feel like you got caught doing something illegal.
„just excited!"you say and go away from him.

you stay in your room the next 20 minutes till someone knocks on your door.
„come out y/nnn~ new year is about to start!we don't wanna have that memory without you"you hear denki's voice.

you don't want to go but the thought of you not being in their memories and being forgotten makes you sick in your stomach.you open the door and are already dressed.

he blushes at the sight of you and showers you with compliments.you thank him and of course compliment him too.

you two go outside where everyone else is and you go next to katsuki.you see denki lightning up the fireworks with his quirk and you flinch at every sound you hear which katsuki notices.

„are you scared?"he asks and you nod.he grabs your waist and pulls you closer to him so he can cover your ears.y'all look up and enjoy the different colors in the sky.you feel katsuki pressing his lips on your cheek and hear him whisper „happy new year."

you blush and look at the ground with the biggest smile on your face which makes katsuki smirk since mina told him about your crush on him.he will never tell her his secret that's sure.
