Winter's were hell for anyone who had nowhere to stay, many of the homeless folk ran off to shelters or relied on the local Hope Churches to give them some extra blankets and food. But Tido didn't like relying on anyone. The churches and shelters who saw him around offered a warm place to stay in the winter but he always declined, he wanted to do everything himself and more so get to Hollywood instead of being stuck somewhere. Being in a shelter he felt he could do nothing productive.

So instead he sat on the side of the road in pain as his fingers were so cold he could hardly move now. His clothes felt frozen to his skin as the snow that landed on him melted simply to freeze again. Tido was sure his thumb would freeze right off, his fingers beginning to turn from red to purple as the hours go by. He felt his cheek and winced in pain as his frostbite tore causing him to bleed, he didn't want to cry but he knew there was a good chance he would as he could die any day now from the lack of food in his system and the cold that washed over him. he wasn't even shivering anymore its as if his body has simply given up on him.

he whimpered, pulling his hat further over his ears as the wind began to hurt his reddened face. he was going to die out here and felt there was nothing he could do but wait for it to happen. "I'm coming home dad," he said a smile on his face. "I can't wait to see you again." Just when he had lost all hope of someone coming to save him a large bus stopped beside him. He looked at it amazed as it opened, a blond standing there. "Aw shit, it's a dude!" the blonde said in disgust as he motioned his hand toward Tido.  "We already stopped, singer, so let him in," came a gruff voice from somewhere in the bus the singer shrugged and motioned for Tido to come in.

Tido walked in stiffly and felt his cheek warm up from the warmth, he smiled a little and was happy to be engulfed by the heat of the vents blowing onto his face. He recognized the people in front of him. The bitchy girly blonde, the tall skinny long haired boy, the one with the hot thick thighs, and the old man in the corner. This was the famous rock band Motley Crue, they lived in LA. "You guys are Motley Crue!" Tido said his voice still shaky from the cold. "Yeah, but none of us wanna fuck you. Except maybe Nikki, he's a fag," Vince said. Nikki blushed a bright red and looked away chewing at his lip, Tido felt bad for him, he shouldn't have been outed by Vince that way. "I don't wanna fuck you," Tido said. "I just wanna know if you could get me to LA?" "Sure, it's a bit far from here. But we're on our way back now," Mick said crossing his arms. "Got family there, kid?" Tido sighed, shaking his head. "No," he said. "And don't ask about my family again. Where am I going to stay, I'm tired." "Stay with me, Tido!" Nikki said with a crooked smile. Tido smiled back and Nikki lead him to his room. "I'll get you a shirt to sleep in, we'll wash your clothes," Nikki said wondering to the other side of his bed and pulling out his suitcase handing Tido a baggy sweater. "Thanks," Tido said running off to the bathroom to quickly get changed.

The first thing he thought of was how good the sweater smelt. Of cigarettes and chocolate and a touch that was just so Nikki, although the comfort of that smell is something he didn't know quite yet, and the sweet scent that was Nikki wouldn't have a hold on him for a while now. Thought he was able to feel it down in his heart that this was the start of something great, the warmth wasn't just coming from the sweater and the bus, but inside his heart and deep in his face. He placed his hands over his face feeling the fiery warmth as he smiled to himself.

"Hey, you alright in there?" Asked the soft and sweet voice of Nikki, his hand placed against the door, his voice sounding of worry as he asked those words to Tido. "I'm alright," Tido said smiling as he opened the door, not embarrassed to be in only boxers and Nikki's sweater as the man didn't seem to mind much or stare in ways others have during the summer and it made Tido feel comfortable in his own skin. "You just a took a minute, didn't want anything to happen to you on my bus, y'know?" Nikki asked with the tilt of his head, his hair flowing around his pretty baby face like a halo. Tido nodded. "It wouldn't look good if someone had died in your bus," he said. "Doc would be furious for us allowing a homeless man to even step foot in our bus," Nikki said with a laugh that made Tido's heart beat just a bit faster and warm more than it did with the smell of the hoodie. "Yeah," Tido said.

Nikki lead him over to the couch and stopped. "I'll sleep here, you can take the bed," he said looking over at Tido. "I can't," Tido said shaking his head. "It's your bed." "You're going to be sick tomorrow, I know it because of the cold. And I want you to be as comfortable as possible, please sleep in my bed," Nikki said.

Tido knew there was no sense in arguing, he'd be gone tomorrow anyway so what was the point of arguing with Nikki over who is going to take the bed. He decided to take it and slipped under the covers falling asleep almost before his head even hit the pillow.
