A year has passed since Y/N started going to the school. He was with his fellow second years, except for Yuta and was walking to the first years. “So, how many first years are there again?” he asked Panda as Maki was several feet ahead of them, refusing to keep pace with him, Panda, and Inumalki.
“There were three but one of them died recently,” Panda answered.
“Damn, really? What happened exactly?” Y/N asked.
“I don’t know. I just know he is dead,” Panda told him.
“Salmon,” Inumaki said.
“I know, right?” Y/N retorted.
Eventually, the group finds the first years on the steps of the school, looking very sad. Y/N looks at the two when Maki steps up to them. He thought they were interesting to say the least. He heard tons about Megumi and his potential so he looked the artist expected.
Nobara caught his attention though. She was very pretty, despite her sad demeanor. But Y/N mentally slapped himself, she just lost a classmate and was a first year while he was a second year.
Pushing that thought aside, he watched as Maki walked up to them and spoke extremely bluntly to them. Both Megumi and Nobara looked at her quite shocked until Panda spoke. “Hey, Maki! Their friend just died!” he told her.
“WHAT?! YOU COULD’VE TOLD ME THAT BEFORE I CAME HERE AND LOOKED LIKE A HEARTLESS BITCH!!!” Maki snapped.
“Well, Panda did explain it, you just weren’t paying attention due to you walking far ahead of us,” Y/N explained.
“SHUT UP, Y/N,” Maki further snapped.
Y/N sighs before walking out. He approaches Megumi and Nobara. “Hey, you’re Megumi and you’re Nobara, right?” he asked them.
“Right,” they answered.
“Well, I’m Y/N and I’m a second year and so are these guys. And there is a thing called the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event. Basically, it’s where our school faces off in a fierce competition against our sister school, Kyoto Jujutsu High. And we are here to help you guys be prepared for it since it’s gonna happen soon,” he told them.
“Oh yeah, I remember hearing about this,” Megumi said.
“Yeah, and I know you guys lost your-”
“Save it, and isn’t this event meant for only second and third years?” Megumi asked.
“Well yes, but-”
“The idiot third years got themselves suspended so now you guys gotta take part in it,” Maki bluntly told them.
“Thank you, Maki,” he said to her.
“So, what exactly do you do at this event? Smash Bros?” Nobara asked. “I rule at the Wii version. I’ll meteor smash your butts!”
“No,” Y/N answered. “And there’s no way you could beat me at Smash Bros.”
“Oh yeah? You bet your life on that?” she asked him with a competitive smirk.
“I bet mine AND my parents' life on that!” he told her.
“Guys, focus,” Panda told them.
“Right, sorry.”
“Anyway, we’ll make a three man team. On day one, we start with team battles and on day two, we do individual battles,” Panda explained.
“Wait, battles? You mean we fight other Jujutsu Sorcerers?!” Nobara asked.
“Yeah, it’s battles between each other where anything besides killing is fair game,” Maki further explained with a smile.
