Author's POV
You were a kid. You had a best friend name Yonghwa too. Both of you were always together. Playing, going to school, studying. But all of it was forgotten, on this fateful day.
He was going to leave you. He had to go overseas and be with his parents. When you heard about this, you threw a tantrum.
You could not bear and see him leaving. He was the only friend you had. He understood your stupidity and accepted your clumsiness.
Your dreams....
He still remembered it. You wanted to go to space, and see how many balloons does it takes to lift you up from the ground.
He flipped the pages of the book filled with your pictures. He heard about your accident, but he couldn't see you.
He was already on the plane.
You forgotten about him and move on. You have more friends, and you were more dull.
You forgotten his smile, his laughter, and most importantly, you forgot how important he was to you.
That fateful day.. He was in the car, with his butler. You ran after him shouting, "Kajima!! Oppa!" But he didn't stop. He kept on going. You got so tired, and fainted.
When you woke up, you forgotten part of your memories. When you tried to remember, your head hurts.
Yonghwa was upset, but it allowed you to move on from him. He promised that he will be back for you.
Your POV
You woke up feeling sleepy, as usual. Today was the last day of school. You are 19 this year, and apparently, today's your birthday.
Every year, this unknown person would send you gift. To be honest, it was your favourite things from your past time.
Your father told you that you had a friend, but you had forgotten about him. Your father would not tell you what's the story. He would always say, 'Wait for him. He will tell' or 'Time will tell'. You don't get your father sometimes.
"Omo, _____ you're up! Ppali! You are going to be late for school!" Your mother says excitedly.
*Wow, she's in a rush to get rid of me* You thought.
*I wonder if anything is going to happen* You were in deep thought.
"Yah, why are you daydreaming? Ppaliwa. You don't want to be late for school right?" Your mother snaps at you.
You ignored her and went to school.
-At School-
"Happy Birthday ______! Saranghae, chingu-ah," your best friend, Yoona wished you.
"Gomawo! Saranghae!! You know, you're the first to wish me," You said, looking down.
"Yah, don't be sad... You know how parents are.. They tend to surprise us children. Now, cheer up! What about the unknown person? Didn't he send anything?" She questioned.
"Surprisingly, no. I don't even know who the person is, but I'm grateful. The person was really sweet. My father told me that he was a friend of mine last time," You said, looking amused.
"IT'S A HE?!?! WOW. YOU ARE A LUCKY GIRL," Yoona winked at you.
"Yah, he could be a brat for all I know. Or he has an attitude problem? But, I don't wanna judge," You said, walking away.
"Seriously, ____. You just did. Don't walk away from me!! Yah!" Yoona ran and catch up to you.
During class, many of your classmates gave you your presents. You had at least a friend in every class. So, they know you or met you before.
