Saying my goodbyes to my mum and little sister was hard. I'd never been away from them, we traveled to France almost every year, but to the beautiful south with pretty beaches, not the city, practically alone. At least I'd have dad. He was always busy though. "Have the best time Lina, I'm sure we will see you very soon my love."
My mother kissed me on the forehead . I ruffled my younger sisters hair as I smiled at her. It was far too early in the morning for her to speak to me and keep her eyes open at the same time.

The loud thuds of my suitcase wheels against the rough ground woke me out of my early- morning daze. Dad had a suitcase and a carry - on bag of mine , as he had no luggage because he just flew over to get me. The frost in the air tinted my cheeks and nose a bright red  pigment. It's one thing I couldn't wait to escape; England's cold and wet weather, although France was not much different in January.

While waiting for our gate to open, an old lady began speaking to me. My dad was on a phone call, watching the planes depart and arrive.
"Are you going to ballet school in Paris? My granddaughter just flew there not so long ago! You certainly look like a ballerina" I smiled at her. "No I'm actually training as a medical student, I'm volunteering in my fathers football club for some work experience, just for my year off"
"You must be a big fan of football! You will definitely get to meet the team!" She asked enthusiastically.

I never really had an interest in football, I never wanted to pursue it and I don't know anything about my dads team.. I guess I'll just have to learn.
