I wasn't sure what to expect from a random Tuesday in June, but "alien invasion" wasn't on the list.

I raced through the forests of wakanda, leaves and twigs crunching underfoot. Overhead, sunlight streamed through the trees. My once black uniform now had a light coating of dirt, turning it light brown. My hood and mask were both down, and long brown hair stuck to the sweat on my face. Every muscle in my body ached, and my lungs were on fire. But I couldn't stop. No matter what, I couldn't stop running until I reached Vision.

Our previous plan to separate the mind stone from Vision had failed. Thanos's forces were too strong, and against all of our protests he and Wanda entered the battlefield.

Once I reached the clearing in the forest I skidded to a halt, kicking up a bunch of dirt in the process. Terror filled me by what I saw in that clearing. Heros were all on the ground, some of them barely moving. Others not at all. And in the middle of them all, was the titan Thanos. He was a massive man who was easily over twice my height and 5 times as wide. Purple skin stretched across muscular arms that were wider than my torso, and he was dressed in complete battle armor. On his hand was a gauntlet that carried five of the six infinity stones and in the distance, I could see him walking towards Wanda who was also on the ground, though she didn't appear to be injured.

My feet refused to move, and I fought every strained breath that came. I felt dizzy and hyper alert all at the same time. He was going to kill her, I was sure of it.

Wanda looked up at him as he approached, and put his hand on her head. Every muscle in my body tensed, and I forced myself to move towards her. Each step I took felt like my feet were made of lead. But to my surprise, he didn't do anything. In fact, he seemed to be trying to comfort her.

I stopped in my tracks when he turned away from her, though he didn't turn towards me. Instead, he turned to something that I couldn't see.

He pointed his gauntlet at the spot in front of him, and a mass of streaking yellow appeared while green swirled around his gauntlet. What appeared to be shrapnel seemed to pick itself off the ground, and was put back together until Vision was laying on the ground before Thanos.

It finally clicked, Wanda had destroyed Vision to prevent Thanos from getting the stone. But there Vision was, alive and well with the Mind stone in tackt.

"NO!" I screamed, adrenaline shooting through me. Suddenly my legs didn't hurt so much anymore, and I shot off towards them as Wanda screamed and scrambled to her feet.

With one massive hand, Thanos picked up Vision by the neck. Vision thrashed around, trying desperately to free himself and I think that it was the first time I had ever seen Vision afraid. With ease, Thanos pinched the stone in Vision's forehead and yanked it out, leaving a crater in Visions head. All at once, his body went limp and all color was drained from it. Thanos tossed Vision aside, and added the final stone to his collection. Colorful energy raced up his arms and every muscle in his body tensed. But before his body had a chance to relax, I attacked.

Cobalt blue light blazed brightest at my hands and traveled all the way up to my elbows. I pushed myself off the ground, forcing every cell in my body to move faster than humanly possible. Using the momentum and a lot of power, I punched him right across the face. The power of my punch knocked him off balance and he staggered back several steps.

"YOU'RE A MONSTER!!" I screamed, my voice hoarse. For the first time ever, he finally looked at me. With one big push of energy, I threw him back easily over 100 feet. He went crashing through the trees, taking many of the thinner trees out as his back collided with them. It wasn't until he hit a particularly big tree that he finally stopped. He dropped down to his butt, looking very dazed as he held his head.
