Adrenaline pumped heavily through Amy's veins. A thin layer of sweat clung to the nape of the woman's neck, her brown eyes watering as she struggled to see more than a few feet in front of her. Hot air licked devilishly at her deprived lungs and her calves were set ablaze. Her shoes pounded heavily across the ground, causing mud to slosh up her legs and coat her naked ankles. Stray branches slashed at her pink face and pumping arms, though she hardly noticed the pain at all through the pounding in her head. From far behind her, she could hear the clear cries of the Velociraptor, calling out into the still air for the rest of its pack. Then, everything was silent other than the sounds of the six humans who ran through the dense jungle. From up ahead, there was a break in the trees and the group barreled through, emerging onto a long valley filled with giant dinosaurs; Parasaurolophus' and Corythosaurus', all grazing in the tall grass.

"Into the herd!" she heard Alan shout, and she did just that. The enormous beasts absolutely towered over the puny humans, and when the herd startled and began to run from the panicked humans, Amy nearly tripped with the sudden thunderous rumbling of the ground below. She regained her footing and continued to run, her eyes rolling inside of her skull as she watched for any oncoming foot coming down to crush her small, fragile body.

The dinosaurs bellowed and roared, slamming their bodies hard against one another in their own fright. Amy saw two, eight thousand pound bodies enclosing before her and she turned a sharp, jerking left, only narrowly avoiding the collision. From up ahead, Amy saw Billy dodge another oncoming dinosaur and he fell. Instantly, she changed her course of direction, heading across the field and directly towards the kid. Billy stood, then fell again, though his sole focus didn't seem to particularly be on running as his hands blindly searched his body. He was knocked down again, and when he stood, he began to backtrack. Amy threw herself hard against his side, her own hands grappling at his clothes and manually turning him in the proper direction. She tried to guide him, though the man instantly shook off her grip.

"My lucky bag!" he shouted over the chaos, his eyes searching the overgrowth and flashes of moving creatures.

"It's just a bag!" she screamed back and she shoved him, trying to knock some sense into him. Suddenly, a tail from a passing Corythosaurus came thrashing across Amy's right shoulder. The woman was sent crashing hard to the ground with a startled yelp, although she felt no real pain. There was a heavy hand against her arm and she was hauled back up to her feet. Amy lunged forward, though her shoes lost traction and she slipped into Billy's side as he tried to help her steady herself. Amy did not give herself the time to settle, nor did she wait for any more of Billy's standstill in search of his bag. She snatched at the hand that helped her up and she dragged him forward, hauling the kid and forcing him to run once again.

"Head for the trees!" She heard Alan's voice and she changed her course yet again. Dodging under giant feet and lashing tails, Amy caught sight of Udesky on his knees, struggling to detach himself from his oversized backpack. Amy made for the man, though Billy was quick to yank her back to his side, preventing her from getting anywhere near to help. She tried again, though by this time, Udesky was able to discard the bag and he had already disappeared.

Billy and Amy ducked into the undergrowth of the jungle. They did not slow as they rushed around reaching branches and threateningly large trees. From up ahead, Amy could see Amanda and Paul scrambling up a tree, though there was no room for another two and there was no time to wait their turn. So, Amy and Billy ran past the Kirbys and deeper into the jungle. They jumped over an overturned log and Amy slipped. Billy paused to wait for her to regain her stance. Once she had, they moved forward again and began to round a tree. No sooner had Billy made the first step did he jumped back, threw his arms around her, and shoved her into the tree trunk. His palm smashed against her lips hard and he held her there, their hot panting mixing along with their thundering heart beats.
