BounPrem AU special short story

""Hey, where are you? You said you are still in the office but I can't find you. I've been looking for you."
Just like the other times, Boun sent a message hoping that the other person would react differently.
He heaved out a silent sigh as he felt hopeless again.
"When will you ever open up to me?" he blurted out to no one in particular, feeling so frustrated not being able to help.
"When will you ever need me?" he asked in a whisper, still looking at Prem from a distance because he doesn't know if he can ever be needed nor does he even know how to approach him.
"I want to let you know that I am here for you but you always put up your walls whenever I try. If you could only tell me what can I do to help you..." he continued whispering to himself.
"Please just give me even a little hint that you want me to help you..." he can only wish for himself as he is still clueless why his nong is not letting him know his worries or what's going on with him.
He knew this was Prem's usual habit whenever he is feeling too overwhelmed but normally it only happens once within three months. This time, it has been too frequent already as whenever he gets the chance to escape and be by himself he will always grab the opportunity.
Boun were able to prevent him being alone by sticking with him whenever he asks to go somewhere without his manager but lately he was not able to as it seems like Prem avoided to let him know about his plan and will just make up an alibi why he didn't ask him to go with him.
It's not like he wants to invade his privacy, he was just sincerely worried about his Nong because he can tell that he is going through something right now. He wanted to let him know that he can depend on him but he can't say it directly to him knowing his Nong's personality. it will make him feel uncomfortable. He always acts so independent and that he doesn't need any help at all but whenever Boun's trick to help him indirectly or forcing his way to help him, Prem would never reject it or say anything at all.
"If you only try to look around, you will know that I am here for you." he said while staring intently at the younger one hoping that his presence would finally be felt by him.
"I don't even ask for you to need me, I just want you to learn to ask for help and not take it all by yourself." he whispered as he felt pain in his heart.
All of a sudden, Prem looked around as if trying to search for nothing in particular; it was just he felt like something was urging him to finally look around his surroundings.
He wants to say he just wanted to scan the area but he knows deep within him, his heart is actually secretly yearning to see someone.
It was a spacious garden themed balcony and he just noticed that there were only a few customers within the balcony and for some reason they were all seated far away from his table.
As soon as he directed his gaze to the other direction, he was met with a gaze that's so hard to read but obviously showing intense emotions.
"Phi Boun..." he said almost like a whisper.

"What is he doing here?" he thought to himself, noticing that the older man was also settled in one table far from him.
He doesn't know how to react or what expression to show on his face because he was really stunned to see him here as he knows the older one doesn't really like spending time in cafes.
He was surprised but deep inside him he felt happy to see him.
They were both still staring at each other in the distance, waiting for one of them to show a reaction.
Prem shyly nodded at him and tried to show a smile but it looked forced in Boun's eyes.
Still, Boun was glad that Prem showed a reaction as he can take it as a sign that he can go near him.
He walked towards him and Prem never took his eyes off him.
Boun doesn't exactly know the reason why his stare was so intense but still it did not make him back off.
Prem just stared at Boun, waiting for his action while secretly wishing for him to go to him.
"Hi!" Boun greeted as he stood in front of him.
Prem tried his best not to show how satisfied he is now that Boun is here.
"Wadee Phi." he greeted back timidly.
He felt more relieved that Boun decided to sit beside him instead as it might be a little easy to control expression because he won't be seeing it clearly from the side.
