Elena and Juliette arrive at the Salvatore Boarding House after Stefan called Elena. Damon lets them in and Elena immediately hugs Stefan. "What is this about?" Elena asks. Right on cue, Rose walks into the room. "You!" Elena exclaims. "Can I kill her?" Juliette asks. "No." Damon shook his head, sitting down. "Just a little bit?" Juliette pleads. "Sit down, Julie" "Fine." She sat with Elena on the couch. "Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real." Rose begins. "Who is he?" Elena asks, Juliette sits quietly, glaring daggers at Rose.
"He's one of the originals, he's a legend." Damon chimes in. "From the first generation of vampires." Stefan is quick to add. "Like Elijah?"Elena looked at Rose. Rose shakes her head, looking grim "No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." "You're comparing that guy to the Easter Bunny? Damn, this Klaus guy is serious then." Juliette quips. "Klaus is known to be the oldest." "Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?"
"Yes." "No." "Well that really clears that up" Juliette says, looking at Rose and Stefan.
"What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true..." "Which it is." "And you're not saying it so I don't kill you." "Which I'm not." "Then we're looking at a solid maybe." "Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that you exist." "Not that you know of." "That's not helping."
"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't know if he's real. For all we know he could just be some sort of stupid bed time story." "He's real and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot." "Alright, we're shaking. You made your point."
Elena gets up. "Where are you going?" "School. I'm late. Come on Juliette." "Your kidding me right? After yesterday, you still want to go to school? And your making me go!? I dont even get one sick day out of this?" "Let me grab my stuff, I'll go with you." Stefan stands. "It's okay, I know where it is." She leaves, tugging Juliette with her.
"She's in denial." Damon snarks as they leave. "Shut up, Damon." Stefan snaps at his brother.
The woods.
Elena is with Caroline and Juliette. Elena is carrying a bag. "Tell everyone I wasn't feeling well and I went home from school." "I can't believe I'm agreeing to this. I'm a terrible liar." "And keep Stefan busy. I don't want him to know what I'm up to." "I'm even worse at duplicity and you know this." "You managed to keep me occupied when Katherine paid Stefan a visit." "Yeah, because she threatened me. Not that I'm saying that you should use that as a tactic, it's...Stefan's gonna see right through me." "Caroline, as my friend, do you promise or not?" "You had to break out the girlfriend code. Okay. I promise." "Okay. Oh and keep Juliette close, I dont want her getting into trouble." "Hey! Caroline doesnt need to watch me." Juliette protests but a glare from Elena shuts her up. "Fine, Ill stay with her. Why don't you want Stefan to know?" "Because he would never be okay with me doing this."
They go under the church ruins. They stop in front of the tomb's door. "Are you sure you want to do this?" "Yes, I'm sure. She's the only one who knows the truth about Klaus. The only one who can tell me how to stop him." "But you're asking for the truth from someone who's probably never giving it. Are you sure about this?" "Yeah. I can't just sit back and wait. I have to know, Caroline. Please." "This is and awful idea." Juliette chimes in.
Caroline goes towards the door and opens it. "Katherine?" She looks at Caroline. "I'll be okay from here." They hear a noise. Elena turns her head and looks at the door entrance. Katherine arrives and stops at the entrance. "Hello Elena. You come to watch me wither away? Oh, hello Juliette. Elena, you brought me your cousin as a snack? How kind. Goodbye Caroline." "As long as I stay on this side of the door, she can't hurt me. Please." Caroline looks at them and leaves, pulling Juliette along.
At School
"Stefan!" "Hey Steffy" "Hey. Caroline, Juliette" "Hey. Uh, I need to talk to you. Where are you going?" "Well, Elena went home sick; I just want to go check up on her." "Ditch her." "I'm kind of worried about her." "You know what? Of course you are. Go ahead, I'd...you know what? We can talk later." "Uh, talk about what?" "I might have done something." "What did you do?" "Told Tyler I'm a vampire."
Later on, Juliette, Caroline and Stefan are sitting at a table at the Mystic Grill. Caroline is eating.
"Sorry to drag you here but if I don't eat, I get those kill innocent people urges. Tyler totally has those too by the way." "Well that makes me feel safe" Juliette said, getting up from the table "Yeah, what else did you say to him?" "Not much. I was trying to keep the questions to a minimum. Are you mad?" "Yes Caroline. As a matter of fact, I am a little mad. I mean, you put yourself a risk. If Damon finds out..." Juliette returns to the table, sitting next to Caroline. "But you're not gonna tell him, are you?" "No, of course not. He would kill you." "Always looking out for me." "Yeah. Well, you don't exactly make it very easy on me." "Then why do you do it? Why are you such a good friend to me?" "I don't know. I guess you...you remind me of someone. My best friend, Lexi." "You have a friend? Woah" "You say that with such a discouraging amount of surprise, Juliette." "Well im surprised anyone wants to be your friend Steffy!" "tell me about her." Caroline says "I will, some other time. I got to go." "Wait! No! What do we do about Tyler? I don't want Damon to kill him 'cause there's a full moon coming up and Tyler is totally freaking out about it."
Hours later, Juliete is reading abook on her bed, Elena and Stefan are on the porch
"Elena." "I can't talk about it, Stefan." "You have to. Don't shut me out. Elena, please." She's crying. "I wanted to know the truth and I got it. It's not just me that's in danger. It's Caroline and it's Tyler and it's Bonnie. They're all part of breaking the curse. I can't blame anyone else anymore because it's not because you came into town or because you and I fell in love. That's not why everyone that I love is in danger. It's because of me, everything is because of me." He embraces her. She's crying. He kisses her on the top of her head.
