LILY-ROSE WREN, also known as Rosey was born to two of the most loved people in the little town of Coal Creek, William and Grace Wren. The two had met shortly after William's return from the second world war, in a bar in Coal Creek. William fell in love with the woman on sight, she was beautiful and when he got to know her, she was funny, polite and very smart. William wasn't the type of man who would marry a woman who wanted him to be the man of the house, he would rather share that job with a woman and when he met Grace, he knew she was the one.

Grace had lived in Coal Creek her entire life and the day she met her future husband was one of the happiest days in her life. She found him attractive but she soon came to realize that they also shared some of the same ideologies. Neither of them were religious, William had lost his faith when he was fighting in the war while Grace had lost hers after the death of her entire family when the house caught fire, she was the only one who escaped. The two also didn't want to follow the stereotypes of the man being the head of the house and that the woman would be obedient to her husband, it was a match made in heaven, if they even believed in that.

The relationship had never changed, a few years after their marriage and they were still in their honeymoon phase, their families were jealous but happy of their love for each other. The married couple decided to stay in Coal Creek where they started to became the most loved pair, they were caring to everyone and although a few were skeptical due to the fact thy didn't pray, they still couldn't explain the liking they had towards them.

William and Grace would still come to church, not for sermons but for anytime that there was charity involved, they may not have had a lot to give but they still gave it. But the charity they gave became even slimmer when Grace became pregnant with their first child. Both William and Grace knew they wanted children, a lot of them, they wanted a huge family. So to find out they were going to have their first baby was a huge celebration for them. Unfortunately, their big family dreams didn't last.

By the time their first child took its first breath, the mother took her last. Due to complications during the birth, Grace had postpartum hemorrhage, which was excessive bleeding and the doctors couldn't stop it in time. The only Grace was able to do for her child was name it before she left the world, in a weak voice as doctors rushed around her and William held her hand tightly, she offered the name Lily-Rose, the couples favorite flowers.

William never blamed his daughter for his wife's death, he knew it was just something that happened to some women and his wife unfortunately fell victim to it. He payed his respects to his wife by naming his daughter Lily-Rose and giving her the middle name of Grace, as soon as he saw his daughter, he knew she would grow up to look just like her mother.

To Lily-Rose, William was a perfect father. He was always there for her, teaching her everything about the world and their family. She was always so intrigued to hear about her mother, she was upset she never got to meet this extraordinary woman her father talked about so happily but she was content with the fact that it was how the world worked, some people died and others live. You have no control who lives, who dies and who tells your story.

AS THE YEARS WENT BY, Lily-Rose grew up to be an intelligent young girl who did look exactly like her mother, with the exception of her eyes which were just like her fathers. She was just as generous too, she always showed up to church on days where they gave charity and would even give some of her own money up to help those who really needed it. But Rosey wasn't good at making friends, despite how sociable and kind she may look, she preferred to keep to herself which often led to her being bullied by a main trio of boys.

But through that bullying she did make one friend, Lenora Laferty. A sweet young girl who tragically lost mother in a murder and her father abandoning her when she was barley a year old. No one had any idea what had really happened, her mother had been killed by her father who believed he would be able to resurrect her, when he didn't he tried to leave, he came back to see Lenora but also lost his life at the hands of a murderer. Lenora often talked about her step-brother Arvin but Rosey, herself, has never met the boy, all she new was that he was an orphan and also didn't have many friends, but he was always there to protect her.
