I grumble out a sigh as I gazed up at the clear blue sky, annoyed at how glaring the sun was. There was no shade along the dirt path, and it didn't help that I had to carry some extra heavy baggage strapped to my back.
Now I wish that I decided to just leave bro to suffer with Tanuki-sensei instead. This is starting to take a real toll on my poor back... How was Tanjiro able to handle it?!
"Maybe I should have dragged that annoying bitch with," I mutter as a yawn crept out my mouth. Perhaps resting after last night would have been a better idea than walking to my next mission.
"WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME AND MESS WI-! WHAT SORT OF EXPRESSION IS THAT?!"
Fuck, I deadpanned as I could nearly feel my soul leave me, I'd recognize that scared voice anywhere. I stood there for a moment to just let out a tired sigh, already having a feeling of what this mission entails.
Guess I'm stuck with meeting the trio earlier than expected. Let's just hope I don't end up become a babysitter like Tanjiro... I'll just push it on to my brother if I have to.
"Hey, Tanjiro! Is that you?" I call out a minute later as I tried my best to smile genuinely at the two arguing boys.
"Oh! (Name), it's a pleasure to see you again!" The sweetest boy in the world spoke with a contagious warm smile. I couldn't help but relax a little at the gesture and my smile widened.
"MISS PLEAS SAVE ME FROM-!"
