"D-dad?" Mikey's knees began to buckle. Out of nowhere, Charlie quickly replaced Mike as he was clearly not able to support the boss. "Michael," Duke warned. "Yes, son. I'm here," Ignazio Lorenzo said soothingly. "I-I... I thought you were dead," Michael breathed out. "I'm warning you, Ignazio! Stay away from Michael!" Duke warned as he saw Ignazio approached his son.

"Michael, his men shot me," he emphasize the word 'shot'. Michael halted his movement, as if realizing he almost walk toward his.. Father. He found the word foreign on his tongue. the boy straighthened his face and quickly shoved the injured man into his car and Charlie got into the driver seat. Michael took a serious look towards his father and went off. Ignazio stared on as the car dissappeared from sight. He admitted, this is not how his son supposed to meet him. "ignazio," he heard as someone familiar called him. He spun around and saw Johnny. His face softened. "Johnny-" "Don't you 'Johnny' me, asshole," Johnny cut his sentence. "I-" Johnny held out his hand. "No, you dont deserve to say anything. Keep your distance from Mikey or I myself will kill you," Johnny spat and left the scene with a motorcycle.

"Yeah, i got it, old man! Now stop yapping! Just fucking go back to bed!" Duke yelled at the phone and hung up the phone and threw it as far as he can without breaking it. He gave a big sigh and sat unceremoniously on the couch beside a dazed Michael. Duke snapped his finger after staring at Michael staring at the wall. "Snap out of it, Michael," Duke snapped. "Well, it's not everyday that i know my dad is alive after all those years," Michael snapped back. "Look, i'm hurt. the least you can do is soothe me. Ease my fucking pain. I got shot by YOUR dad," Duke whined. " Well, it's hardly my fault that you're too slow to realize," Mike said and got up to get some water for Duke. " I called Doc already. He'll be here in 5 minutes. Just.. stay still. You're already loosing so much blood. And stop whining," Mike rambled as he passed the glass of water to Duke. the older man mouthed a thank you. As said, the family's doctor came 5 minutes later. Duke was given painkillers and the bullet was taken out. "All he need is a long rest for a day. Let him sleep in tomorrow. He needs his energy back. Don't wear him out," Doc gave Mike a wink. He groaned. Everyone in the family seemed to think that he and Duke is an item. Like, why? "Get lost, Doc. The money will be tranferred into your account by tomorrow. Now, go," Mike slammed the door as soon as the doctor left the apartment. Charlie already left after dropping him and Duke. Johnny was nowhere to be found but he did called in, said he was home already after cleaning up the scene. Mike tried asking about his father's whereabout but Johnny said nothing.

He sighed as he look at Duke's opened door. He went to the briefcase that was left in Duke's study. The case was locked but with Mike being Mike, it was like sucking a lollipop. He managed to crack the code in 2 minutes. Duke's birthday. He opened it and in the middle of the briefcase sat a small chip, more like a USB drive surrounded by protective foams. If his father was serious enough to come out of the dark and to steal this chip, then there must be really serious and important files contained in it. he took it out and connected it to Duke's computer. All night long, he explored the content. At first glance, it looked like a normal accounting stuffs. A ledger, but this looks like too 'covered'. Something's fishy. He may look dumb but there's a reason why people called him nerd. He had been hacking into people's account, any account, as revenge, and nobody had caught him. He worked his way and suddenly, a new file appeared named Adriano Caelion. "Adriano.. Caelion?" Must be Duke's dad. Michael opened the file. He did not expect that this is what he was going to find. This is gold. After further exploring, he wasn't sure that this is gold anymore. His life could be endangered because of the information he knows. he quickly saved it into another pendrive of his. He kept his pendrives close because he stored most important files in them. Including Duke's business. He does manages what Duke is too lazy to do. From what he knew from the files, he understand why his father was after this chip. The reason behind his dad's 'death'.
