karina and nora have known each other since they were trainees at sm entertainment, however, they weren't well acquainted with one another. they were very intimidated by each other for different reasons; karina saw nora was incredibly talented – a triple threat – who she couldn't compete with whereas nora was intimidated by the older girl's visuals and thought karina was mean because of how cold she appeared. luckily, they were able to clear any misunderstandings between them when karina accidentally spilled water on nora during a dance lesson they had one day; it was very awkward for both of them but thanks to the incident they were able to befriend each other. as trainees, the two leaders would often sneak out of the dorms after their curfew and go on late night walks to clear their minds and chat about their feelings; this became a tradition for them even after they debuted in aespa. karina and nora see each other as sisters and are very protective of each other and the other members which is why they were elected as leaders – they were hesitant at first but the members assured the pair would be better working together than having one being their leader since both girls would often lead them during rehearsals and making sure everyone was okay.

giselle first friend at the company when she joined was nora; the younger girl was in one of the vocal rooms, practising when the older girl entered and awkwardly apologised for interrupting – though nora assured her it was fine and gave the room up since then they have been friends. since becoming friends, the older girl is always making sure the younger girl is eating her meals on time, taking her vitamins, carrying a jacket etc. because she sees nora as her younger sister. the younger girl is thankful to be looked after because as the eldest in her family, she wasn't babied as much. in return, nora always helps the older girl whenever she needs it whether its with dorm chores or with choreography. she doesn't let giselle to feel down by the hate comments, continuously complimenting her and her hard work or snapping back at the comments as professional as she can. both girls will often have sleepovers in each other's rooms and are each other's designated photographers for photos they want to take and upload on weverse/instagram.

winter was the first person nora met when she transferred companies from kq to sm; she was nervous about making new friends and meeting people when she noticed winter from across the room and was hesitant to approach her first because she looked cold, but nora built the courage and greeted winter. the two of them became quick friends since their schedules were the same, meaning they had the same lessons together and were grouped a lot during said lessons. when nora found out that winter didn't celebrate her birthday often due to it falling on a public holiday, she made it her life's mission to be the first person to greet and celebrate winter's birthday every year – which she has been doing since making that self-promise. both girls are opposites but that doesn't stop them from being best friends – staying in during day-off's and relaxing in each other's silent company, doing facemasks and enjoying themselves; nora would never force winter to leave the dorm unless it was initiated, she respects winter's introverted nature compared to her extroverted personality.

nora and ningning met during their trainee days – when the older girl accidentally bumped into the younger girl in the hallway – on her way to a vocal lesson which ningning was leaving. they talked briefly and exchanged contacts before going their separate ways but since that interaction, they have been good friends. the two girls often leave the dorms together and go out to trending restaurants and try the food together, rating it and recommending the spot to their other friends after approving the menu with each other – a tradition that has yet to be broken. they also like going out and drinking together; sitting and talking about their lives, what they want in the future and more while drinking their stress away. nora also helps ningning often with her korean during their training days whenever the foreigner was finding difficulty in understanding something or was mispronouncing a word; in return, ningning helps nora with her mandarin – her accent, pronunciation and spelling.
