As if on cue, they all just disappear. I don't even bother to wonder why. Instead,I walk onto the beach, and notice the small dock up area.
After wandering around for a bit, I come across a rickety old rowboat, and without thinking, I push it into the water and start rowing.
I row for hours and hours into the cool, dark water, not knowing where I'm going, or taking any mental or physical note to find my back.
It's when the dawn begins rising over the water that I first begin to panic. I'm about to turn around, when I see it in front of me.
