It's now 2020.
It's been 2 years.
Ollie and I had been going strong but there were a few hiccups along the way. His dad's cancer came back and it was worse than before, he soon passed away and there was a funeral. I got my first job in journalism, it was in Formula 3. It was something small but big for a first job. I had to do more research and Ollie helped out. Joey had been getting older and sicker, he had always had this sort of condition but over the years it seemed to get worse. My mom's alcohol addiction was also getting worse, because of Joey being sick. I was sure what to do and I didn't feel safe in that environment so I moved in temporarily with Ollie as my apartment was going to be sold.
I soon learnt more about my cousins, that two of them were twins but died in a car accident. I think their names were Rose and Lily. Then there's Aria, she was the middle child. Then Olivia, the oldest and as my mom would say, the most successful in the family. She became a formula 1 driver this year, Joey wouldnt stop going on and on about it. But my mom stopped me a few times trying to get in contact with her. She did it because they were Jane's children. If they were anyone else like Steve's children or something (my mom's brother) then she might have let me contact or see them.
"Arthur how are we feeling after that race today?" "We had good pace and I'm excited to see what tomorrows race brings us" his French accent was thick in that sentence. It was my first day on the job and everyone seemed really nice. After interviewing Arthur Leclerc, I saw someone familiar in the distance waiting to congratulate Arthur. I focused closer on to who the man was and it was the guy I saw at the American Grand Prix. I saw him at the gala. I saw him when Joey was having his meetings. While staring I noticed the man walking over so I quickly went back to writing my notes "hey, I'm not sure your name but I know you know Joey, tell him I say hi and I hope he recovers" he said before walking off "wait!" I called out, he turned round "I don't even know your name" "it's Charles" he walked off. Charles rung a bell. I shrugged it off and went back to work.
That whole day Charles was bugging me, I couldn't think why I knew his name. I soon headed back to my hotel and rung up Ollie since it was my break. "I bumped into this guy again, remember the one I said that wouldn't stop looking at me. I couldn't think what his name was. Anyway he came up to me and told me to tell Joey to get better" "wait isn't that Charles?" "Yes that was his name, why does it ring a bell?" "It's Charles Leclerc you dumbass, the formula 1 driver that I love! The one and only Charles came up to you and told your stepdad to get well soon, how are you not freaking out?!" "Calm down Ollie, I don't know, I don't even know who the guy is so why would I be freaking out" "anyway I have you" I added "don't be soppy with me, I have to go take Bailey to dance because my mom is at your mom's" "okay say hi from me!" I said blowing him a kiss "I will my love, have a good day!" After that he hung up. I got up and I headed back to the paddock to interview some more people.
