Shivering and cold. That's how I feel on this last day.Tomorrow is going to be the start of a whole new year.Great, right? Not for me.I am sure I'll still feel quite useless, just like how I'm feeling today.Redundant and alone.

So much for being 21 and stuck in bed.No plans,no goals.Just me and my messed up mind dragging what would be for breakfast.I slipped into my slippers then made for the kitchen.Worked up some eggsauce and yam in a jiffy.I was about munching on my food then as a routine go back to bed and complain and cry about my life. But quite annoying repetitive knocks on the door got me to my feet then to the door.

I stared at the face in absolute shock and amazement. She rested her hands on my face, tears welling up in her eyes.“Oko mi,you look like you've been through a lot.Look how skinny you are.”Trust her to be blunt. And trust my body to not even add a pound of meat despite my vigorous eating and sleeping escapades.

“Mama!”I drew her into an embrace. Not minding that I probably stink to the high heavens.Crying for no reason at all. There was probably a reason but like my life,I was yet to figure that out as well.

“Let's go in.”She shifted from the embrace and dragged me in with her.Hah! I haven't even greeted her properly.I knelt to the ground.

“E kaaro ma.”She lifted me up.

“Kaaro oko mi.Sa ji dada?”I nodded in response. She noticed the meal on the table.

“I was just about eating.Had I know you were coming,I would have made something for you.I also know you aren't into all this kind of food so let me make a quick pap then later on prepare your favorite.”I said the last bit just to get her to stop looking around.I was secretly dying of embarrassment. If she continued with her probing, I might as well just die.She didn't reply me so I tried to flee the room.As an excuse,I was going to get her water.

“Ehh come here first.”I stopped in my tracks.“This your dungeon needs fixing and you need a bath.A serious bath cus you stink.”Her hand gestures were to die for but my facial expression at that moment wasn't.

“Let me just make something for you...”

“I would certainly not have something to eat in such a place. Now let's get to working.”

“As expected.Where should we start?”If looks could kill,I would have been dead.
