The kids walked back home as the eclipse happened, making the island dark.
"How was it today?" Ronal asked, seeing the siblings walk inside. "It was fun. Those kids are fast learners." Tsireya smiled.
Ronal hummed, looking at Ao'nung. She saw him looking at his hand, constantly spinning it around.
"What's wrong?" Ronal questioned. "My hand hurts again." Ao'nung mumbled.
She nodded, putting the things in her hands down. She walked over to a chest and grabbed her bowl filled with medicine.
"Come." she instructed.
He went over to her, sitting down. Ronal grabbed his hand and rubbed her fingers on his palm, relaxing the muscles.
Ao'nung had this condition since he was a kid. Certain points of his body would tense up (SPS).
"Don't use this hand for now." Ronal mumbled.
She poured a liquid on his hand and wrapped it up with a cloth. He placed his hand on top, feeling his muscles get tighter.
"I made food a while ago, so hurry and eat before it gets colder." Ronal smiled.
She gave a plate to the two of them, leaving the marui. Ao'nung sighed, closing his eyes.
"How bad does it hurt?" Tsireya asked. "Too much." Ao'nung mumbled.
She nodded, grabbing his hand. She helped him relax so that he could eat his food, and then she ate hers.
She watched him go to sleep while she put away her plate. She couldn't help but pity him, seeing as he would enter pain so suddenly.
The next day Ao'nung's hand was calmer and more relaxed. He could still feel some pain though, so he had to refrain from using that hand.
The two siblings walked out of the hut, seeing the others. Tsireya smiled at them like normal, and Ao'nung just stared.
"Did you guys sleep well yesterday?" she asked. "We slept like every other day." Kiri shrugged.
Tsireya nodded, looking at all of them.
"Neteyam will go with Ao'nung again, Lo'ak has to be with me since Rotxo couldn't make it today. So the three of you, come on." Tsireya smiled.
Ao'nung watched his sister wall away with the other three, standing with Neteyam. He sighed, turning around.
"Let's go." he signaled.
Neteyam followed behind, seeing Alo'an make his way to the ocean. The two of them stopped, seeing skimwing come towards them.
"Get on." Ao'nung pointed.
The two of them got on their skimwing, Neteyam seeing Ao'nung struggle. Ao'nung sighed, sitting correctly.
"We will do the same thing as yesterday but I will be watching you from the sky this time." he mumbled.
Neteyam nodded, waiting for Ao'nung to let him start. When he did, he watched Ao'nung stay next to him and then watch from up top as he dived into the water.
Ao'nung was still impressed, seeing how fast Neteyam had learned to ride the skimwing, especially since it was so difficult.
He watched the man come back up to his level, smiling. Ao'nung nodded, diving into the water with him. The two made their way to rock, getting off the animals. Neteyam saw Ao'nung dismiss the skimwing, and then look back at him.
"I see you are a very fast learner." Ao'nung hummed. "I've had to learn many things." Neteyam nodded.
Ao'nung smiled, looking down at the ocean. Neteyam was surprised to see Ao'nung smile at him like that. This time it wasn't to tease him, it was a real smile.
"You must get it from your father, even if you learned quicker than him." Ao'nung chuckled, looking at the distance.
Neteyam watched his father get on the skimwing, practicing as well.
"I'm sorry for calling him pathetic a few days ago, by the way." the man mumbled.
Neteyam smiled, seeing Ao'nung suddenly become...soft?
