I take off before Jade but she follows in hot pursuit.
Zombie, I think.
Zombies are fast. At least the ones with legs are.
The zombie is hot on our tails before Jade trips up and I see it on top of her in a flash.
Like I said, zombies are fast.
She yelps as loud as she can. I plunge my Swiss Army into its neck and its dead on impact.
The neck is the weak spot of common zombies.
Not all of them are common.
"I thought there were less of them here" she says. She's gritting her teeth but says it in a playful way.
"Don't listen to everything I say"
"I won't."
Her ankle is badly twisted so I have to pick her up.
And that's when I spot the teeth marks on her neck and the blood pouring out of it.
She was bit.
