"If I hear the forecast call for snow again, I am going to scream," Annabelle mumbled as she looked over at her best friend. "It isn't that bad Belle," Katherine replied as she sipped on her coffee. "Kat it started snowing in December. December 7th to be exact, and now it's JUNE! It should have stopped months ago!" Annabelle yelled getting frustrated. All she wanted was the sun to be out now and the breeze blowing her hair as she sat in the sand on the beach, but no. She was trapped in a cramped two-bedroom apartment with her childhood best friend as another seven inches of snow fell piling upon the seven inches that existed the night before. There had to be at least twenty some inches or more out there. The stuff would clear for a day or two and then as if magic would start coming down again.
"You need to relax Belle." Her best friend smiles. "I would "chill" if I was on the beach Kat. I would "chill" if I could be on a yacht, but no. This snow keeps coming with seemingly no end." Belle sighs. "Just pick up snowboarding or skiing. Everyone else has." Kat shrugs. "The snow makes me sick and I am tired of your perky attitude toward it." Belle snaps as she gets up going to her room. She was going crazy and honestly, she didn't know what else to do. What could she really do? The world was in a state of emergency. Everything was becoming free so everyone could survive. "Was this the end?" Annabelle wondered to herself. This is how the world would end. Cold, dark, and alone. She was so over it. Laying in her room she looked at the ceiling. With a soft sigh, she picked up her phone and called her mother. Maybe, just maybe mom would have an answer.
