Draco's POV

       Hello Mother,

  Today has been an eventful day. Goyle blew up the bloody common room so now we don't have a place to stay. One of the windows was blown out, the chairs were flipped onto their side, and the rug was singed. The old coot is trying to figure out where we'll go.

        Sending condolences, hoping you're alright, Draco.

     Draco was sitting in the Great Hall finishing both his letter and his breakfast. They had a match against Ravenclaw and as the seeker he had to be alert and ready for action. Draco looked up from the letter he'd been writing for the past half hour finally and noticed all the Slytherins' staring gravely at Goyle who was looking sheepishly. The only person other then him that didn't notice was Crabbe who was finishing his bacon and eggs completely oblivious to what was happening outside of the reach of his vision. Annoyed, Draco shook his head which just so happened to point his vision towards Potter and his girlfriend the Weaselette. Harry looked ghastly, he was about to comment when the captain for his team came over and pulled Draco out into the hall.

        Dragging the whining Draco down the hall he finally got to the Slytherin changing room. After changing out of his robes and into his uniform he looked towards the captain expecting a great speech but he only got a "good luck" before mounting their brooms and taking off in a spur of green and silver.

        The commentary was loud and very much annoying Draco wanted to cast a spell to make him partially deaf but he didn't want to miss anything special he hadn't seen. As he was flying past the Gryffindor tower he noticed the Weasel was struggling to keep the sleeping Harry upright. He started to chuckle to himself until he saw a glint of gold out of the corner of his eye. Something told him he shouldn't dilly dally so he took off.

                                                                      .                  .              .

       All the Slytherins were cheering and congratulating Draco until every sound in the Great Hall silenced. It took Draco a while to realize what was going on. Only when he spoke did he realize the head master wanted to speak.

       Albus started, "as most of you may already know, the Slytherin's common room has had a little complication" Draco's eyebrows furrowed into a crease and Goyle's face flushed. Even still after seeing the Slytherin's disappointed faces he went on. "The place is destroyed and will take months to fix even with magic so they will need a place to stay. With a show of hands raise your hand if you'd like to share a dorm with a Slytherin." No Ravenclaws raised their hands as expected after the loss they suffered earlier. Few Hufflepuffs, but only the first years. As he looked at the table known for bravery he realized, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Seamus, and Dean all had their hands up which overruled the rest of the tables.

       This year was sure to be emotionally unstable as Draco had had a crush on The Boy Who Lived for the past six years, now he'd learned that he was sharing a room with him, and a bed. He was sure Potter was regretting his decision now, but it looked like he didn't care at all. He just gave a nod, told Draco the password and left?!

                                                                    .                         .                     .

           It was already the end of the day so Draco was heading down to the Slyther- er Gryffindor common room. Draco was very forgetful today and very much confused throughout the day. He'd left the book he was going to checkout on the desk, and left his favorite quill in Flitwick's classroom, he had even forgot what a Centaur's horn looked like and added an acromantula pincer on accident. Let's say it didn't just end in a tiny explosion. His mind was all over the place until he ran into Pansy and his mind became clear. Her, Blaise, and mother were the only ones who knew about his secret love interest for Harry. She asked him the same annoying question she's been ever since she came to the conclusion about his addiction for Harry, "so you dating Harry yet?"

           Draco would always answer the same answer, "no, and you with Hermione?"

  Hermione's POV

             Hermione was sprinting down the hall eager to know her dorm mates since she had a class the period everyone else learned when she heard hushed whispers she snuck around the corner to listen, she grabbed one of the extendable ears that she bought from Fred and George and listened... She was shocked with what she heard, Pansy liked her? A mudblood who the pure-bloods should hate? That wasn't the most shocking part, Draco, Harry's sworn enemy, in love with him? This was so much to take in she almost fainted until she realized a figure standing over her with the other extendable ear in their ear. Standing wide-eyed was her best friend, Harry. Hermione was stunned by Pansy and Draco's words but also at how she hadn't noticed Harry standing next to her. They were now talking about Ginny, or as Draco referred to her the Weaselette. Hermione looked back over where Harry was standing but instead saw Ginny with the same wide eyes and figured her eyes must be playing tricks on her after what she'd just heard.

         Hermione finally got back up to her dorm after using the loo. As soon as she got through the portrait hole she saw a disappointed Harry and a sleeping Ron. Harry got up and studied her. "Where the bloody hell have you been?"

{Sorry if this chapter is too short, this is my first time writing a story and I have school so I won't be making a lot of these chapters quickly. As I said this is my first time writing so I don't know all the controls. Thank you if you're reading this and know you are loved.}
