Narrator's POV

Lucius had intercepted a letter written to Narcissa about his only, pure-blood son being in love with Potter. Lucius ran into the kitchen and started reprimanding Narcissa, how Draco was a burden, and how he'd have to be disowned, how, Narcissa was awful not telling him...

Draco's POV

I got a letter and after reading it I felt like I was going to pass out. It read.

       Draco,

I cannot believe you, falling in love with a Potter boy. Passing notes with my wife right under my nose. You are no son of mine, you can come get your things at the end of the school year. I never want to see your face after that near this home.

 Signed Lucius Malfoy.

Harry's POV

Something was for sure going on with Malfoy and Hermione, they seemed to be getting along like friends of some sort, giving hugs and slight back pats. I even saw Malfoy blushing at Hermione and she laughed at it.  I felt angry and something else I just can't place my finger on it. Hermione looked up at me and waved me over to them so I walked over and Malfoy's features softened, he had a sort of sad expression. Luckily Ron saved this awkwardness by yelling down the hall "I'm going to be late," and only then did I notice the time, and we were indeed late for our potions class.

                                                  .                                            .                                     .

In potions class I thought I'd been forgetting something, but only when we got there did I remember my potions book. We had to do partner assignments and I was assigned with Malfoy. At least he brought his potions book but the rest of the class would indeed be insufferable. We didn't talk very much, though I tried to make conversation. At the end of the class I asked about his and Hermione's relationship and he looked at me very confused. "The two of you seem to talk a lot and blush at each other, even smile."

"We're friends, and I don't blush at her. We just talk about stuff. You really are the most oblivious person I've ever met, Potter." Everything clicked in my mind. Why did I care about their status? Probably because he's a Malfoy, a Slytherin, and his parents work for the man that killed mine when I was just an infant. Maybe it was because I didn't want Hermione getting involved with him, or maybe it's something else just nagging at him trying to be seen.

That night was the night all the Slytherins would be moving in with the Gryffindors, some were excited, others disappointed, and Ron... sat in the corner peeling the skin off his drumstick with no care in the world about who he'd be with the rest of the year. A peck sounded at the window. An elegant looking owl with a parcel wrapped around its claw looked for a way in. I pushed the door open and read the name on the back "Draco Malfoy."

The Fat Lady's portrait swung open revealing the Slytherins. With his owl perched on my arm I walked over to the blonde boy. "He came for you," I managed a smile as the bird flapped its wings and went to Malfoy's shoulder

Sorry this one was short but I'm tired and it's been 8 months since my first part came out.
