Does the river god want that golden statue?
In front of Lin Huaisheng, the River God didn't say a word. He didn't respond to Li Qingming. He didn't know if he didn't want it, or he didn't want it because he was concerned about the Bodhisattva.
But Lin Huaisheng wanted his golden body back very much.
This desire was not performed, he even suppressed it in his heart. The "Bodhisattva" in this dungeon is not just a simple identity card. After Lin Huaisheng became a god, he began to have a very strong desire to possess beliefs, golden bodies, and things that originally belonged to him.
The two gods present ignored them, but Li Qingming was not discouraged.
Rather than getting the river god to accept the golden statue, Li Qingming's main purpose was to have a good start for a conversation with the river god. This god was cold and arrogant, so Li Qingming had to be careful when talking to him.
"The sacrifices just now, everyone will give you another one."
"The construction of the River God Temple has already started, and it is planned to be built by the river, and the specifications will be according to the best. Since you have manifested, I will come here on behalf of everyone. " Ask, is there anything else the Lord River God needs?" He said
coldly.
"I don't accept human sacrifices, don't put the dirty things of you cannibalism on me anymore."
Li Qingming respectfully responded.
"No more, everyone. We will punish those who made mistakes separately." He looked calm, and he was not ashamed of the barbaric act that almost killed a person.
Zhao You, a foreign youth beside Wang Yang, was very shocked. He pointed at Li Qingming angrily and horribly: "You, you...!"
But he is a well-educated young man from the city. talk. Wang Yang shook his head at Zhao You, indicating that his companions don't need to stand up for him. He almost died at the hands of fellow villagers.
Lin Huaisheng looked at Zhao You twice, guessing in his heart that there was something special about this only foreigner he could trust.
The altar was faintly divided into three parties, the God of the River and Li Qingming, Wang Yang and Zhao You, a young man from a foreign country, and Lin Huaisheng and his disciple Sui Lin.
The accident came very suddenly.
Lin Huaisheng suddenly raised his head and looked at the distant mountains.
The so-called sky covers things, the earth carries things, the mountains and mountains are covered by this world, but they are just things in its palms, no matter how majestic and steep they are, they are insignificant. In such a square inch of heaven and earth, the mountains and rivers are connected to the sky, and the rain and fog blur the final boundary between the two, as if the mountains are next to the sky. I don't know when, the black clouds piled up, squeezed and covered, and then suddenly tore open a hole. The original rain was less, but the torrential rain flow poured down from the gap in the sky.
At first, it didn't feel real, nor scary. Squinting his eyes, he felt that it was just a water column as thick as a finger, nothing serious. Until later, everyone became aware of the horror in a trance-
the sky had a hole.
The rain column destroyed a mountain forest in an instant, and the roots of the vegetation were engulfed in sand and swirled in the huge flood. A wave barrier suddenly rose from the mountains, devouring any vegetation and creatures in its path. It seemed far away at first, but the rain column came to the side of the mountain in the blink of an eye.
Lin Huaisheng shouted: "Run!"
The human beings, like a colony of ants, began to panic. Lin Huaisheng tried to protect more people, but there were screams of pain from being pushed and trampled in the crowd. In the face of nature, the power of the gods also appears weak.
Lin Huaisheng pushed Sui Lin beside him, and asked him to take the people around him: "Go! Go to the high slope!"
He didn't have time to ask more, so he flew forward with the river god to meet the flood.
The oil-paper umbrella had no time to take care of it, it flew with the wind, and finally rolled into the mud. But Lin Huaisheng had an extra protection. Lin Huaisheng looked sideways, and saw that the River God was only wearing a single robe, and his outermost golden cassock was now being draped over Lin Huaisheng.
The river god looked solemn.
"A Bodhisattva who is merciful to others should also be merciful to himself."
"I protect the Bodhisattva for fear of backfire, but for a piece of clothing, the Bodhisattva will not reject me anymore." With the
disaster ahead, Lin Huaisheng simply refused to refuse his good intentions. He and the river god separated on both sides, and each cast spells to resist the flood.
To become a god, one must have compassion and responsibility for the common people. What's more, Bodhisattvas and river gods are born on the basis of human belief in this mountain, and they are even more obliged. The two gods were not afraid of wind and rain, and they resisted the rain waves as high as a cliff. The rain is like an ice pick, piercing everything on the ground in all directions, and all living beings are like ants, fleeing in a panic.
The earth shook and the mountains shook, and the sacred altar was instantly changed beyond recognition. The flying offerings, wooden bricks, soil and stones hurt many innocent villagers around, but their pain was swallowed up in front of the terrifying nature, leaving nothing behind.
They were all children of Dashan, and they had no idea how much they had dealt with mountains since they were young. Wang Yang and others quickly ran up the hillsides and high grounds on both sides. Zhao You, a young man from a foreign country, not only supported Wang Yang, but also pulled Sui Lin who had stopped on the spot, and shouted at him, "You run too!"
Sui Lin looked up at Lin Huaisheng, but the Bodhisattva flew too high, and never Not what he can follow. Sui Lin could only take another deep look, then turned her head and quickly followed the fleeing crowd.
The four of them and other villagers ran to the high slopes on both sides in one breath. There was mud below the knees, and there were dead branches and leaves on the trousers. But they didn't have time to clean up and fled to a high place, but the flood was not far away. Instead, as their vision widened, they felt more and more terrifying. Those mountains and roads that have been climbed and walked are completely changed in a blink of an eye, and they can no longer be distinguished. All that can be seen are the bare mountains and the flood that has swallowed everything.
This place is located inland, and since it was recorded in the local chronicles, there has never been any big river flowing through it, let alone the sea and the sky. But now, this "river" that appeared out of thin air in the mountains is like a moat, completely shaking people's long-standing cognitive beliefs. Some villagers knelt down on the side of the hillside shaking their legs because they exhausted too much energy when climbing.
In the distance, Lin Huaisheng could still be seen in mid-air, Sui Lin frowned, grabbed the man by the collar and picked him up, sternly said: "Why are you kneeling!"
Sui Lin couldn't accept that the most omnipotent belief in his heart was abandoned and belittled by others intentionally or unintentionally, but the Bodhisattva continued to resist disasters in order to protect them. As for these people, they don't kneel to the Bodhisattva, but to the flood.
Sui Lin's strength was great, and the villager was frightened by him. He didn't have much strength in the first place, and now he was like a mass of rotten meat. Li Qingming came over, helped the villagers, and eased the pressure brought by Sui Lin. He said gently: "Get up, the hillside is still very dangerous, and we have to go to higher places. I think the rain may be dangerous." It didn't stop so early."
Li Qingming's guess was correct.
Lin Huaisheng and Heshen faced the gap in the sky. Although he tried his best to remedy the situation, it failed. Although they are protected from wind and rain, Lin Huaisheng's body is a hidden danger. Seeing that it would be futile to go any further, the God of the River said to Lin Huaisheng, "Let's go down first."
When they found the villagers, there were hundreds of people in the village. Too many to count. Everyone's face is full of fear and confusion. They are driven by the desire to survive, and they only know to keep running to high places, but no one knows when they will run. During this period, the water surface kept rising, almost comparable to a vast ocean. They could no longer see their village. Among the crowd, some people wept softly, not even daring to look closely to see if their village still existed in the unrecognizable mountain depression.
Only then did they see the god who had returned.
They suddenly had something to rely on, whether it was helplessness or anger, they all had a direction to pour out. Many people rushed forward, trying to grab the river god's sleeve, ask him, beg him, but in the end they were all blocked by a barrier of the god.
These afflicted faces looked up, and asked of the river-god they so believed in.
"How could this happen?! How could this be... We are very pious!! The mountains are short of water, and our lives are dependent on God. Our families have converted to you. The folks will give you as much as possible. On weekdays Your tributes are all the food that we share on the table that day, even better. As you can see, we hold a ceremony for you! We also plan to give you the statue of the god, build a temple for you, all of these It's all counted, but why did this to us..." A middle-aged man's dark face was
mottled with tears, "...we want rain, but it's not rain like this!" Desperate, they don't want to be exhausted anymore. They crawled on the ground with hands and feet, stumbled and ran, their bodies and hearts panicked, and when they were panting, they realized that there were fewer and fewer parents and relatives around them. Is there any point in their escape?
The river god was silent about this.
But Lin Huaisheng could feel the great shock in the heart of this young Lord He.
Lin Huaisheng said to the dozen or so people who were still present: "Come to me." The
Bodhisattva said in a gentle tone, "The Bodhisattva Temple is on a high terrain, and with my magic power blessing, it should be able to stop it. Rest first, and then we can find a way."
...
It is rare for the Bodhisattva Temple to have so many people again.
Sitting in twos and threes, they also filled the temple. It is not difficult to imagine the rubbing of shoulders when the incense in the Bodhisattva Temple was at its peak.
Among the dozen or so people, only Sui Lin believed in Bodhisattva from beginning to end. In the past, he had quarrels with almost everyone in the same village, but now he is the most calm person here.
Right in front of Lin Huaisheng, Sui Lin took out a small handful of new incense from the corner where he used to put incense, lit it and inserted it into the incense burner. The rest of the people saw that there were somewhat uncomfortable dodges and evasions on their faces, because most of them had abandoned the gods in this temple. It's just that at the moment when the mind was greatly mourned, everyone had no intention of going to burn incense sticks for the Bodhisattva.
Among so many people, Lin Huaisheng was most concerned about the people indicated by the other five identity cards. Wang Yang was bound by hemp ropes before, and his wrists were worn out when he struggled to resist. In order to prevent the dirt in the muddy water from infecting the wound, Zhao Youzheng is cleaning his wound. Wang Yang has been going out to study for several years, and his skin color is no different from that of people in big cities. As soon as Lin Huaisheng looked at them, Wang Yang looked back at him very sensitively, as if everyone he saw was an enemy. Lin Huaisheng frowned in his heart, and looked away.
As for Li Qingming, he sits with the villagers and whispers a few words, but most of the time he sits in silence. He was more elusive than anyone else, so Lin Huaisheng didn't deliberately get close to him right now.
Lin Huaisheng stepped over the threshold. The last one is outside the Bodhisattva Temple.
Lin Huaisheng stood beside the River God, holding the robe of the River God in his hand and intending to return it to the other party. Suddenly, Lin Huaisheng noticed that the sleeves of the River God were slightly wet, and the ethereal fairy sleeves were stained with water, making them look heavy.
Lin Huaisheng reminded: "Mr. He, cuffs." Hearing this, the
God of the River lowered his head to look, and said with a sigh, "I didn't notice." As he spoke, his sleeves returned to their original state.
But as long as the gods move their minds slightly, they can easily prevent foreign objects from invading. What's more, the river god is not like Lin Huaisheng, a bodhisattva, who is trapped in a clay sculpture. . It can be seen that the other party's mood is not calm now.
Lin Huaisheng asked, "Why is Mr. He here alone?" The
River God tilted his head, looked at Lin Huaisheng fixedly for a while, and asked with a smile, "Bodhisattva, you know it well, why ask me?"
"The Bodhisattva has a compassionate heart , even if you are not your believer, you accept and bless you, but this is completely different from me entering your temple. The gods repel each other, and there has never been a reason why a temple can accommodate two main gods." The
river god showed his wide sleeves In the middle of the hand, the slender fingertips touched Lin Huaisheng's heart in the void.
His smile was very cold: "Bodhisattva, why don't you listen to your own heart and really want to invite me in?"
The God of the River felt that he could have said all kinds of interests and interests more cruelly to the compassionate and stupid Bodhisattva in front of him, who couldn't protect himself, but the heart that had just been condensed in the god's body was twisted and turned, and he didn't have the heart to let the other party listen.
Lin Huaisheng's expression did not change, he was still very calm.
"Mr. He, come in. Even if you are a god, if you stay alone, you will be lonely." The
God of the River did not expect that the mercy of the Bodhisattva could make him so stupid. Are all Bodhisattvas in the world as compassionate as the one in front of him? It was also the careless insertion of the ignorant people in this mountain when they shaped him. The river god does not know. He and the Bodhisattva entrusted the pious vows born from these human beings, but his appearance and godhead are completely different from those of the Bodhisattva. He is not so compassionate, only has supreme divine power, but suddenly feels that the human beings who have shaped this kind of compassion are no longer so hateful .
Facing Lin Huaisheng, the God of the River grinned at him, deliberately showing a bit of evil. He wanted to cut open the clay bodhisattva's body to see his mercy and stir his heart.
"Then I'll go in."
"It's just that when I take the first step, the Bodhisattva will feel like a thorn in his throat and a thorn in his heart. Neither the Bodhisattva's practice field nor the Bodhisattva's heart can ignore my existence."
Lin Huaisheng felt that such a river god Much like a wild beast flicking its tail wantonly to frighten people, its behavior this time is only to satisfy the badness and fun in its heart.
Lin Huaisheng never feared such a person.
When the Bodhisattva heard the words, he just lowered his eyes and smiled brightly, and his compassion was transformed into the world in an instant.
He fiddled with everything, without caring: "I will forget."
The most human, that is, the most beautiful in the world.
The author has something to say: River God: I can go in and be a guest (tail wags into a propeller)
