Okay, so in every chapter I'll be posting, will the chapter title be the title of the song at the side. I pick the songs depending on what the chapter is about. So check those out if you want!

Chapter one: Leave It All Behind

《Sarah pov》

I was happily asleep when the traffic noises woke me up. Why did Klaus choose to live in New York of all places? The only thing the city does is wake you up from your sleep thanks to all the noise. I love to sleep but no, those cars outside just have to disturb that. This is why I'd love to move to a small town, no traffic but lazily waking up at the sound of birds chirping.

I sighed and got out of my bed to put on some clothes. I was in a non-caring mood and decide to wear jean shorts and my Nirvana shirt which I love with all my heart. I put my hair in a messy bun and I don't even bother to apply some make up, it's not like I'm going to leave the apartment anyway cuz today is my lazy Sunday, the day where I drink way too much coffee, watch a Supernatural marathon and eat ice cream as lunch.

I went straight to the kitchen for a cup of coffee when I noticed a note sticking on the fridge. I snatched it off and started reading.

Dear Sarah,

I've got some business to take care of in Virginia but I have no clue when I'll be back. At least a few weeks. I know you can take care of yourself and if you're bored, you can meet up with Alice.

Klaus

Great, just great, I've got no one to talk to in the morning, not that I'm very talkative at the moment but hey, what if I was? What if listening to his bad jokes was going to make my day? Guess it wouldn't 'cause he wasn't even here to try.

After a few episodes of Supernatural I came to the conclusion that I was starving, vampire starving. Change of plans, my marathon will have to wait because I'm going to meet up with Alice. Alice is also a vampire and for as long as I can remember, she has been here all along. Together with Klaus she raised me, but she was also my best friend. I dialed her number and waited until she answered.

"Hello?" Alice's voice asked on the phone. "Hey Alice, it's me! Klaus is taking care of some 'business' in Virginia and is gone for God knows how long. Conclusion, I'm bored and hungry. Wanna go hunting?" "Yeah sure, I'd love to. Meet at our spot?" I smiled and said, "Great, see you there!"

Alice is just like me, a vampire with what you could call 'issues'. We both don't really like the thought of killing a human in order to survive. So once in a while, we meet at the giant oak in the middle of the woods, outside NY to hunt for animal blood. I quickly drank the rest of my coffee and put on my black leather jacket. I jumped on my motorcycle and sped out of town. I smiled when I saw the woods coming into my view. I always love to be here, far away from the big city. It's always so quiet and peaceful here and I like that, a lot. When I made it to the tree I was looking for, Alice was already there and smiled when she saw me. She came towards me and hugged me tightly. "Sarah, good to see you! How are you?" "I'm great, good to see you to." She finally let go with a big grin on her face. "Come on, let's hunt those squirrels." We both laughed and sped away.
