Chapter 12 ( The restaurant and the Stars )

Ezra,

it was the next day and I'd been avoiding Dominic at all costs, I was really out of it, and in my head and I just didn't feel like talking to him.

" Ezra, get dressed I have somewhere I want to take you " never mind I guess.

I get dressed slightly curious as to where we were going, after I'm done I walk out and follow him to the car. he's dressed in black form-fitting jeans and a dark green button down, whilst I'm dressed in my dark blue jeans and a dark grey T-shirt.

" where are we going? " climbing into his car I throw on my seatbelt and immediately turn on the ac hating the warm breeze that was blowing.

" I'm taking you to eat, it's one of my favorite restaurants " he pauses for a brief moment and purses his lips " your not allergic to anything right? "

" just peanut butter " he sighs in relief and continues while driving.

"It's a little Italian restaurant, really the only one around, oh! I probably should've asked, do you like Italian? " it was kind of cute to see him so nervous as he turns to me his cheeks gaining a faint pink.

" yes, I love Italian " I smile at him and he relaxes a bit making me notice just how tense he was.

we make it after a little bit of driving and pull up to a small building called 'Bocca Felice', it was a beautiful place having decorative lights and candles everywhere and we seemed to be the only ones there. I look over and see Dominic murmuring to himself ' I told him not to go all out'.

he gets out of the car and goes around opening my door as well. after thanking him we make our way inside,

" Dominic! my friend it has been too long and oh! this must be your mate, Ciao Bellissimo, you may call me Leo, he was right you are as beautiful as the angels " my smile widens as Leo takes my hand and kisses it winking up at me. he had chocolate brown skin and long dreadlocks, and his eyes were a beautiful shade of green.

"Alright, Leo stop trying to enchant my mate " Dominic smiles at his friend and hugs him.

"Please, Dominic! I would never! my number is on the sign right there Bellissimo, all you have to do is call "

he winks at me again in a playful manner and leads us over to a table he and Dominic exchange a few words in Italian.

we sit down and Leo runs off to call our waiter, " I didn't know you were Italian " he nods grabbing his napkin and setting it on his lap.

" my grandmother is Sicilian, when she had my mother she moved to California to start a new life "

" so how did you end up in Ohio? " I take a look at my menu not understanding it since it was in Italian

" my mother wanted to 'enjoy the country' and settled down here when she found her mate, my father

I nod my head still listening but trying to figure out what to get. " having trouble? " my cheeks redden as I plead him to help me.

I'm startled when suddenly the waiter comes up asking if we were ready.

" we will have two Fiorentina steaks please " he looks up smiling at the waiter and handing her our menus.

she just nods and leaves after setting us down some water.

" my real name is, Domenico Giovane Barone, something my grandmother picked out for me before returning to Sicily "

" so then why do tell people to call you Dominic young? " he shrugs his shoulders while taking a sip of water.

"People always got confused on how to say my name so eventually I just changed Domenico to Dominic and Giovane in English is young so, Dominic young " 'huh', I look around a bit more admiring the restaurant when the food is sat down in front of us.

I smile thanking the waiter and cutting my steak shoving a piece into my mouth and moaning at the wonderful taste of the meat.

" Mmh it's really good, thank you " he smiles and continues to eat his own, a comfortable silence falling over us.

after a while more of us finishing our food and some light conversation Dominic pays and we leave.

" wow look at the sky!" I rush over to the bench that was pointed to the end of the mountain and admire the beautiful constellations.

" do you know anything about astronomy? " Dominic comes up behind me and sits on the bench with me.

" I know very little, when I was a kid me and my dad would sit outside and admire the stars he knew a lot about astronomy and stuff like that, and he would teach me some things but he died before I could get to know more "

" if you would like, on my next trip overseas they have a beautiful library with all kinds of books on astronomy, you could come with me and pick out a few "

"I can! " I can't help the giant smile that plays over my lips as I lean into him feeling his warm body against mine.

" of course " he wraps his arms around me and cuddles me close. I don't know how to feel about him, all I do know is he's stealing my heart a lot faster than I was ready for.
